Marvel is trying to make the death of Laura Kinney this really sad affair.
But like the while Krakoa era made death literally worthless.
There was already a clone of Laura around... That's not dead, and every X-Men died multiple times so none of "the original versions" still exist they are all clones of dead people.

Their current logo is bland as hell and they can't possibly do a worse one than that New 52 peeling sticker one, so curious to see what it winds up being. The toilet seat is one of the worst logos of all time. I don't really see why they feel that they need to change it constantly. Marvel has such with the red and white tab for most of its existence.

Enjoyed The Dreaming: Waking Hours. Think it's the first non-Gaiman Sandman story I've read, and the author acquitted themselves well. Also nice to see a more colorful take on the setting.
Jessica Jones: Alias vol. 2 was good.
Didn't love the Crimson Corsair story at the end of Before Watchmen, but the Dollar Bill one was good enough I'd have liked to have seen more.

Thought I'd share an excerpt from my Scooby Doo/V.R Troopers crossover. My artist seems to be going with a Mystery Incorporated era style for the book, and this is his interpretation of Vincent Van Ghoul {Spoiler}

Makes me wonder if Dwayne Yow still has copies. He spent most of English class each day writing that story instead of doing his class work. Being as useless as I was in any other class except English, I spent my time writing stories in other courses, my Tech tutor really enjoyed my writing and just let me do that...but always made me read them out to the class afterwards...which wasn't always a bad thing when you're writing original fiction, but when it's fanfic based off cultural crazes your classmates have all moved away from or grown out of...well... Yea this was mid 80s and rural south. Unless you were a star player on a sports team or in the top 5 of your grade the teachers wanted you to be quiet and do the work they assigned. Be in either of the two mentions groups and you could do whatever you wanted. Had our valorvictorian miss 4 weeks of school,when she had her kid. Never make up that work and still some how had a 103 average? ? Which is why she was the only person to get booed at graduation. Did find out someone is still in touch with Dwayne. Sent off a message asking if he still had the stories.

Amazing Spider-Man #50 spoilers for those morbidly curious. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Peter is turned into the Spider-Goblin because of Winter Soldier-style trigger words that Norman utters to him. {Spoiler}They also walked back on Peter's motivations for joining Osborn, retconning it so Peter only signed up because he never trusted Norman, not because he thought he was changing for the better

Found my full run of the 90s Hellstorm comic.
Odd comic,the few that read it back then loved it. But so few read it.

Marvel August Solicitations aiptcomics.com/2024/05/23/full-august-2024-marvel-comics-solicitations/J. Michael Strazynski writing another new Spider-Man story for an anthology title focusing on Peter's dark side. Amazing Spider-Man#950 out in August too, it seems to be tying up the Tombstone stuff, so heaven knows how Wells wraps his run up now. So much also for the stakes of the "Spider who gobbles" as Peter's back to normal.

So local junkstore owner messaged me yesterday. Telling me she had about 20 comics. "All in the sleeves with the cardboard behind them."
Asked her the prices,"they are priced fairly" is what i get told.
Was going there anyways today.Get there. And it is all 90s glut stuff from Marvel or DC. And priced at 3 bucks an issue. All stuff that I saw for years in the cheap bins at a buck or less an issue. Only thing I semi wanted was an issue of the Lobo series. But not at 3 bucks for a reader copy.

Rise of the Powers of X#5 Here's how Krakoa ends folks {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}Phoenix battles the Enigma Dominion across her timeline, continually fixing alterations to her history as Essex attempts to rewrite it, while the majority of the Krakoa population take up permanent refuge in the White Hot Room, all but a few left behind a part of the Phoenix force. Xavier in the meantime reveals he'd been playing a long game against Moria, Essex, and Orchis. Mind melding with Moira, he reveals he placed a psychic signal in her aged 13 years old so that Jean can trace Essex through her and take him out. Convinced by Charles Essex is too dangerous and appealing to what's left of her humanity, Moira activates the signal and is destroyed as Jean closes in on Enigma. This triggers her eleventh life, but Moria discovers she has emerged fully healthy as a child within a branched timeline separate from the now former Kroakan age, while the timeline she left behind can continue on without her
