Wasn't he the guy whose only claim to fame in pre-NXT developmental is that he did an ok Obama impression?

He now wrestles as The G.O.A.T. This is his theme. If you didn’t bother listening, yes. It references the hotel room.

Wasn't he the guy whose only claim to fame in pre-NXT developmental is that he did an ok Obama impression? Basically yeah, which was the reason for the presidential name. They then moved him to an Arsenio/Jay Leno shtick, with Tony Atlas as his Kevin Eubanks, laughing, easily amused sycophant. Then at some point, they scrapped that and put him as Titus and Darren Young's manager, canning him after the rape joke, which I guess was just as well, they weren't really getting that much benefit from him.

Dude made a rape joke on a PG Family show. I remember Big Show making a similar joke on Smackdown, though I wonder if it was TV14 at the time.

Something I took away from this was how #BeAStarMyAss could alternatively be read as #BeastArmyAss.

I thought he was brilliant to be honest. Loved the Abraham Washington Show and AW Promotions had a ton of potential. I thought the joke was perfect..... a bit "off color" but hilarious. I get why people were upset, but it's a damn joke. AW didn't handle himself right afterwards, however. Edit: I forgot about the PG aspect.... yeah, it doesn't work on a PG show.

Sounds like something Paul Heyman would say for one of his video advertisements.

You don't make that joke on TV period. That's some shit you leave in the back

Sounds like something Paul Heyman would say for one of his video advertisements. The night Lars Sullivan danced atop the ECW arena!

Maybe not in a PG environment, but on Cable during the evening (later on in the evening maybe), I see nothing wrong with it. Sorry.

Ah, yes, rape, what an absolute hilarious topic to joke about. Ha, ha, ha. Seriously, are you for real?

The fact that there was a fair bit of people vehemently defending him at the time is the goofiest bit to me in retrospect.
Like, there are not words to describe just how avoidable "getting fired for belting out a rape joke on live TV when trusted with a microphone" is. Your neighbor is only 30% likely to go through that in their life.

That's the first I've heard about that. There are (were?) individual Twitter accounts that WWE controls directly?

Dude made a rape joke on a PG Family show. Almost a decade after when it would have even been topical. That whole thing took place in 2003 and he's making that reference in 2012?
