This tournament is a bit snake bitten so far. It's turning into season 2 of the Mixed Match Challenge.

So as I suspected, that earlier SmackDown womenโs bracket wasnโt the real one. Very star-heavy as it currently stands.
Iโd suspect Belair ends up as the SmackDown finalist here.

I would be fine with that, as long as the RAW finalist is Iyo, and she goes over Belair (or Cargill) in Saudi. But I'm not hopeful on that front. Neither Belair or Cargill need Queen of the Ring at all compared to pretty much any other woman in the tournament.

The 'once in a lifetime, generational talent' is pissing me off more and more as the weeks go by, and she's only been on our screens 5 mins . I was hoping she would have been deemed sh1t for much longer and need more and more training. Her being front and centre everywhere, never losing, on every poster, on every promotional content isn't good news for our faves. There was no need at all for the tag champs to be involved in this when they just won the belts 5 days ago.

It will probably be on a house show like Rey/Kofi Shayna/Zelina, and whoever is in there will effectively be fodder as far as the tournament goes. I'm not sure if Bayley will be defending at Saudi, probably not I would have thought. Tiffany could be in line for the next shot with her not being pinned the other day, and seemingly not being involved, or at least a standout, in a QOTR tournament that looked tailor made for her, but I was hoping that would be further down the line as she's unlikely to win this early. I guess Bayley could get involved in the Nia vs Naomi match as revenge for Nia beating her the other week, and that potentially starting the Nia vs Bayley feud, or she could just take a backseat and just be in backstage segments with the 'big 3' as this tournament pans out. It's not what I was expecting or hoping, but it will at least be interesting to see how it all pans out.

So yeah. It's looking like the finals for QOTR are either gonna be Lyra vs Tiffany, or Iyo vs Jade.
Either way, I feel like a Smackdown woman is winning the tournament. And when Iyo inevitably loses I'll be told how everything is fine and losing at Wrestlemania The Queen of the Ring tournament won't harm her booking and she'll remain a top talent, despite evidence overwhelmingly starting to prove otherwise. Because it's pretty clear the Smackdown top women are going to be Bayley, Jade, and Bianca, with Tiffany likely in fourth. While the RAW women are going to be Becky, Liv, Rhea (when she returns), and probably Lyra.
Gonna be interesting to see if Iyo actually signs a new deal since her current one is up next year. She's been pretty open about how she hates not being able to wrestle often, and wants to be a main eventer. I don't think she envisioned coming to the main roster, getting a title reign where she was basically a B tier wrestler even then, and spending the past two years doing nothing but putting over Bianca and Jade and getting little to nothing in return. Meanwhile, Jade can come in, have a passable match (that would be deemed mediocre by anyone with higher standards), and be pushed to the moon.

Something else to take into account is how Rossy and MariGold is gonna factor in here. Because Rossy has made it clear he wants she and KAIRI to atleast work a show in the summer and I think how HHH handles that could be a major factor in IYO's future with WWE because she can now go back to Japan and basically be the ace and if Mayu jumps ship that reunites threedom and all the daughters get to finish their in ring careers together , like there is alot of reason for IYO to consider heading back home to Japan now and alot of that is the position she would be in which would be not only the ace of the company but no doubt in a more business oriented role as well. Gonna be an interesting to see how things play out as she heads into her next contract year.

Iโm sure sheโs thrilled

Sheโs featured quite a lot and walked into Wrestlemania as Womanโs Chanpion. Just because youโre unhappy with her position in the company doesnโt mean she is to. Iam betting she does resign.

LA Knight beat Santos Escobar to advance in the King of the Ring tournament at tonight's WWE Live Event.
Tiffany Stratton also advanced to the next round in the Queen in the Ring tournament.

I would much rather Logan Paul put over LA Knight than lose it to Cody. I definitely see it becoming quickly vacated if Cody wins it.
