Because I don't think so. I still feel to this day that it's nowhere as bad as people make it out to be. The movie has a really fun vibe to it, and I felt Carrey & Jones were good in it. Jones played Two-Face like he was the Joker, but it was still fun to watch. Also, Robin wasn't anywhere as annoying in this film as he was in Batman & Robin.
Val Kilmer was underrated as Batman as well. He definitely wasn't as good as Keaton or Bale, but he did fine. I think it gets bashed mainly because it wasn't anywhere as dark as the first two films which I could get, but it's definitely nowhere as bad as people make it out to be. Anyone agree?

The villains were badly portrayed, but overall I look at it as more silly then offensive.

That and & Robin should be banned from being shown, imo.

While I can't agree with Jones being good as Two-Face (trying to hard to out-Carrey Jim Carrey ), I do agree that it wasn't as bad as some people make it out to be. I liked Robin's plot in the film and how he becomes partners with Batman. Robin wasn't annoying or whining as he was in B&R. Also, Jim Carrey is the most entertaining part of the movie. It's Jim Carrey being Jim Carrey, crazy and over the top. Plus, I liked his origin and how he becomes Riddler and his master plan. I think Batman Forever is an improvement over Batman Returns because it actually feels more like a Batman movie. Returns barely had any Batman and barely had anything to do in the film. That is why I will never bash Batman Forever, because next to Batman and Robin, Batman Returns is the worst Batman movie I have ever watched.

Yes
Yes it is
I watched it a few months ago having only seen it once before and actually enjoying it so I went in without bias but it is truly, truly a terrible film which deserves to be shunned from history
Its even worse than Batman & Robin IMO which is meh but not offensively bad as Forever is

Forever suffers from poor direction. Carrey's serious moments as Nigma, as well as him channeling the 60s Riddler incarnation, give a glimpse as to what the movie could have been.
Jones' shortcomings strike me as Schumaker forcing him to ham it up.
Average film that could have been great. Batman & Robin is an abomination. Returns is all style over substance, but that style is so strong that I find it the most rich of the original four films and it's my favorite.

I did enjoy Drew Barrymore in the film.

No, it's a decent movie. It just pales in comparison to the previous two movies, is only better than the worst Batman movie, and is piss poor compared to the Nolan trilogy.

I did enjoy Drew Barrymore in the film. The movie had both Drew Barrymore and Nicole Kidman at their peak, I'll give it that.

I love Batman Forever. It isn't great but I enjoyed it waaaaay more than Batman and Robin and even Batman Returns. Out of the 4 films in that series, I place it second behind Batman '89. It was silly, and I liked that it was silly.
Jim Carrey was awesome as the Riddler. Tommy Lee Jones as Two-Face was trying to be ridiculous as Carrey's role and wasn't needed. It would have been nice for Two-Face to be the serious one of the two.
I liked Robin's story. Instead of Zucco killing his parents it was Dent and I felt Robin pursuing Two-Face for revenge as Robin made sense.
And Nicole Kidman is soooooooooo freakin' attractive in that film.

It would have been a lot better with toned down performances from Jim Carrey and Tommy Lee Jones.

Jim Carrey is the worst Batman villain in the history of cinema, and nearly ruined The Riddler forever (how ironic), and Two Face is portrayed as someone who'll ignore his coin and flip it again so he can kill someone, but aside from that, it has its upsides.

Dent didn't ignore it. He just kept flipping when he had an opening to see if he can shoot or not.
