An odd thought maybe, but I think it would be pretty cool. Adds an extra element to the atmosphere too.
I think it almost rained during WM 24 in Florida, so surely WWE could easily plan for it. It would presumably give some other states a chance to have Wrestlemania as well. Because at the moment it's seemingly limited to places with massive indoor stadiums, sunny states or Madison Square Garden(probably).
New York crowds are pretty hot at the best of times for example, so it could be awesome inside The Yankees Stadium or Citi Field!
So what do you reckon, would WWE do it? Would you mind watching wrestling whilst sitting in the rain?
edit to say, I am assuming the show would be under a cover like every other outside show WWE has done. So it is unlikely the ring would be effected by the rain.

It would be good for Undertaker's entrance.

They have outdoor shows where it rains every now and again, and someone usually gives an interview afterwards about how much more careful they had to be. At Wrestlemania the guys usually go out there and give it everything they've got, and I think that would increase the chances of something going wrong.
It would make for a good visual at the very end of the show if it started raining after the bell rang for the final match while the Champion is celebrating.

Didn't it rain at a wrestling event sometime in the 80s? I think it was in Puerto Rico.

Nope, too much potential for injuries considering that D-Lo slipped on water a fan through in the ring which led to Droz being in a wheelchair.

At first I thought 'this would be a bad ass backdrop to an Undertaker Wrestlemania Streak match.
Then I realised Undertaker or someone else would probably end up dead at the end of the match as a result.

Was there some light rain at some point during Mania in Orlando? I believe I read a report that there was a little bit of rain at some point that night, though the ringside area was sheltered and it mostly affected the audience.

It would be cool but
A.) I have no idea how they could plan for the rain since they usually have the venue for WM booked over a year in advance.
B.) It would definitely increase the chances of somebody getting hurt. So the guys would probably be extra careful and the quality of the show overall would be hurt. Though like someone else said, it'd make a really awesome visual if it happened during Taker's entrance or after the end of the main event while the champ is celebrating.

Being there live I can tell you it did rain very slightly at the beginning of the show.

It's pretty unlikely for rain to actually get in the ring. Of course it is possible, but a marquee over the ring would pretty much take care of that surely. Unless it was torrential. There was heavy rain at the Haye/Klitschko fight on Saturday and it didn't get near the ring.
Also I am not saying they should necessarily plan for rain on purpose. Simply that it could be pretty cool if it did happen.

It would be likely that if the forecast even hinted at rain that they would likely put up some sort of tent or roof over the ring and surrounding area so as to keep the ring and outside dry. I do think that it would be a cool visiual but to think that the WWE wouldn't have some way of protecting the ring if there was even the slightest chance of rain is stupid.

It would be not only unpleasant for the fans, but dangerous to the wrestlers. If they do Money in the Bank or another Ladder Match variant, for example, it would be very dangerous for wrestlers to do highspots off a slippery, wet ladder.

It would be very unlikely that the ring and ringside area would get wet. For reasons stated above.

I would be more worried about a hurricane.

I would be more worried about a hurricane. Hurricane season doesn't start til June. WWE will put up a covering regardless because Miami is prone to rain. Hell, they put a covering over the ring for Wrestlemania 9 in Vegas where is rarely ever rains.

I'm pretty sure the ring area is covered during all live outdoor shows. The fans may get wet but oh well.

Was there some light rain at some point during Mania in Orlando? I believe I read a report that there was a little bit of rain at some point that night, though the ringside area was sheltered and it mostly affected the audience. the sun was shining during the dark match battle royal for the no.1 contender match for the ecw championship, then it clouded over and was raining a wee bit as the bumper came up on the tron saying 1 minute to showtime, but by the time the show started the rain stopped. It was funny though cos it was roasting warm all day then when mania started it was the dullest looking day in the 3 weeks i was in orlando. mania 24 was awesome.
