I was very interested to watch the results and discussion of the poll regarding WWE matches in 1994. officialfan.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=wrestling&action=display&thread=435505I feel the New Generation era gets a bad rap and was glad to see some discussion on how good the actual in-ring quality was in 1994. While 1995 was nowhere near as good and fans were inundated with dozens of silly gimmicks, there were definitely still some winners in there. So what are your top 5 picks for the best matches of 1995?

Again, didn't watch any of these live but I really enjoyed Shawn/Jarrett, Shawn/Owen, Ladder Match from Summerslam, but my personal favourite was Bret/Bulldog from IYH:5.
EDIT: You should carry on doing this for each year, it's fun!

I really expecting the Shawn/Razor Ladder Match to dominate this poll.

Alundra Blayze vs. Bull Nakano on 4/3/95 edition of Raw. I've actually never seen this match. Thanks for the recommendation. You can vote for the other option if you think was one of the best five matches of the year.

Surprisingly large amount of good matches that year looking at the list - my first thoughts were Bret v. Diesel and Bulldog towards the end of the year, but I expect the ladder match will attract the largest amount of votes.

Yeah, much like the 1994 poll showed, despite the negative stigma the New Generation era gets, the in-ring quality was excellent during this time. I'll add either a 1993 or 1996 poll next week.

Bret/Diesel at the Royal Rumble is one of my fav matches ever. When I was in High School, big daddy was the shit! I loved 95. I don't get the hate it gets. Diesel/Bret and Diesel/Shawn are my two favorite matches from the year. Favorite angle was when Diesel saved Shawn from Sid the next night on Raw.

Was 1994 the year of the Bret vs. 1-2-3 Kid match on Raw? I was looking for that in this list but it was probably the year before rather than the year after. I'll have a look at the 1994 poll, could be some more gems I've forgotten on there

I think my favorite match of 1995 is Bret/Bulldog from IYH. Second would be Bret/Hakushi.
I second continuing the years thing.

I've actually never seen this match. Thanks for the recommendation. It's on YouTube. They've had a series of matches together with that one being the best for me. Extremely underrated.

I'm pretty sure you can find it on the "Greatest Stars of the '90's" set, if you collect DVD's. There's a good match selection.

So including only matches that received at least 10 votes, it seems we have voted the best matches of 1995 to be: 1. TIE - Ladder Match: Shawn/Razor (SummerSlam) 1. TIE - Bret Hart/Bulldog (In Your House 5) 3. No DQ: Diesel/Bret Hart (Survivor Series) 4. Bret Hart/Hakushi (In Your House) 5. Diesel/Bret Hart (Royal Rumble) Notes: -There were significantly less voters for the 1995 the poll than the 1994 one. Disappointing, but hopefully that trend doesnāt continue for the next poll. -Bret Hart is featured in 4/5 of the highest voted matches. In the 1994 poll, Bret Hart was featured in 5/7 matches that received top votes. Based on these first two polls, Bret truly does seem to be the king of the New Generation. -Owen Hart, on the other hand, went from being featured in 4/7 of the top matches in 1994 (as well as playing a key interference role in another) to 0 in 1995. -The two matches that tied for first with the highest votes (the Shawn/Razor Ladder Match and Bret/Bulldog) both received 4 Ā¾ stars from Dave Meltzer and were his highest rated matches in the WWE this year. -Iām very surprised Shawn Michaels/Jeff Jarrett didnāt rank higher. It came in 6th place, but I honestly expected it to finish closer to the top. -Iāve enjoyed both of these polls so far. Next up weāll take a step backwards to 1993, which definitely should be interesting: officialfan.proboards.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=wrestling&thread=439632
