Based on the responses to my night actions, it appears that both Herbert Hoover and Deke both tried to kill me at various points in the game.
And now it looks like Daveman has made that clear.

I'd like to congratulate the Government on a nice victory. Tim and Al kept being pressured but managed to avoid the lynching. Cena Fears Miz Fears Me came up with a nice role claim which no one challenged, effectively "confirming" him as a Hobo. However, the Hobos had several opportunities to catch CFMFM in a lie but took no action. Alexander the So-so could have counterclaimed, although that course of action would have removed the town's actual doctor by the next Day. Here's where the town should have pounced: 1. CFMFM claimed to have saved Mr. Emoticon Man, but MEM was actually protected by a bulletproof vest (which his Night PM explicitly stated). MEM could have easily caught the Government in a lie and had him lynched. 2. When Alexander the So-so turned up dead and was revealed to be the town's doctor, the other Hobos should have pressured CFMFM to explain how there could be two doctors in such a small game. Finally, slops to me. I made two big mistakes with this game. First, I eliminated accidentally vanilla roles when I meant to take out Hobo power roles. Luckily that didn't come back to ruin the game. It was still bad design on my part, though. Secondly, I should not have modkilled Square and THE Michael Hayden. It was a first offense, and I should have issued warnings. My rationale at the time was, the penalty was clearly spelled out in the rules, and what's the point of posting rules if I wasn't going to enforce them? I thought for sure that would cost the Government the game, but I was wrong. In any event, I made a mistake. I apologize and will know better next game. EDIT: Based on the responses to my night actions, it appears that both Herbert Hoover and Deke both tried to kill me at various points in the game. And now it looks like Daveman has made that clear. Luckily for you Deadpool sent you that bulletproof vest. (And lucky for the town that Deke's attempted act of vigilantism failed. If he had succeeded, the Government would have won right there.) OK, so what did everybody think? I'd like to hear from players and lurkers alike. And again, I'd encourage everybody who has participated in this game, wanted to participate in this game, or has followed this game to sign up for jagilki's Old West-theme Mafia game, starting soon.

I had no idea what the bullet-proof vest thing was supposed to mean. So, as far as I knew, something protected me from death at the same time that someone spoke of protecting me, which made his story make sense. In hindsight, though, I should have questioned that a bit more. And I for one didn't know Doctor and Bodyguard were the same role.

Being killed the first night is no fun.
I watched it the whole time, and it got pretty intense there a few times; honestly didn't think that the government would win.
Great play.

In hindsight, though, I should have questioned that a bit more. And I for one didn't know Doctor and Bodyguard were the same role. They aren't, actually. A Doctor saves someone from dying; a Bodyguard sacrifices his life so someone else can live. The only role claim I saw was that, "I didn't really want to out myself but my ability is that I'm a protector. Each night I can target someone to protect them at night. Difficult to play as unless there is someone who is a likely target." If he claimed one then the other, then claimed that his Bodyguard action worked, he would have been caught in a terrible lie. AEDIT: Also, his claimed name was Eustace Feet Beer. Astute Hobos would have realized that their own role names corresponded to their role abilties.

You see how I managed to get through the whole game without a scratch? I deflected everything the bad guys threw at me. No other Mafia's gonna do that!
It was kinda hard though without a role list...I couldn't safely make any claims...

It was kinda hard though without a role list...I couldn't safely make any claims... Yours was the only game (other than seven player beginner games) in which I've ever seen a complete role list provided by the mod before the game begins. Game speculation is part of the fun and strategy.

I said i wasnt government....but you were right bout Tim and Al D-lirious-2 Well, no one's going to say they're scum. It's your job to convince people that you're part of the town, and part of that is by helping root out those who are scum. I'll admit, I get pretty confused while playing the game, too. The easiest thing to do to be productive is help recap what's gone on thus far, and use that information to make an informed decision on whom to lynch. (Something like, on Page 7 Daveman said his role did this, but now he's saying something contradictory. Lynch all liars.")
