I wasn't aware of the original idea of Shane running/promoting ECW like they intended to do with WCW in 2001. Too bad that didn't happen.
Kind of sucks though that they don't acknowledge how good the show was in 2008/2009.

I was kind of surprised they shit on the second One Night Stand a bit. I actually thought that was the better of the two, Edge/Foley/Lita vs. Dreamer/Funk/Beulah is one of my favorite matches ever.

It was less of an ECW reunion show and more of a trailer for WWECW. I think that's where the negative implications come from. |

What it comes down to is that most of the ECW guys were ECW guys. They weren't big named wrestling superstars, they were ECW guys. No one gives a shit what they did elsewhere and they still feel that ECW was the greatest organization ever.
Anything other than the original ECW was going to suck for them no matter what.
Joey Styles should be thankful there was a new ECW or else he'd have been unemployed for the last 11 years.
