Wasn't he a respected actor at one point?
Was it the bees thing? Punching women in a bear suit? Naming his kid Kal-El? His hideous hair?

So is 'The Wicker Man' Cage's version of Billy Squier's "Rock Me Tonite" video?

To be fair, you could say some of his older stuff is chuckle worthy as well

It's just he is the unlikeliest Hollywood mega star ever. He has always looked weird and 50 even in the 80's. has really weird ass hair in every movie, weird face and crooked grin, short stature, usually slouching, and one of the funniest voices to impersonate. If he isn't so oddly like able and couldn't channel all the crazy over the top kinect energy and do it in a way that it actually fits his character and not wink at the audience then he would of never been big. Still it's surprising his characters and acting styles equals big box office draws

I'd say his performance in Deadfall sealed the deal.

He doesn't even act out emotions, he just acts out varying degrees of Cageness.

I'd say his performance in Deadfall sealed the deal. Okay, I have got to rent that movie.

Oddly enough, this was probably his BEST acting from The Wicker Man.
