I'm surprised my number 8 didn't quite make it, but frankly there are a lot of great matches that didn't make my top 10 (I had an initial list of 35). At least I might have done better than last week

Also, from watching some matches from the Smackdown Six era, I couldn't help but notice that Michael Cole was a much better announcer 6 years ago. Far fewer irritating phrases/repetitions or complete botches, and called the wrestling well, putting over the quality of it in the right way. I guess it might just be editing, but it was very noticeable compared to even his last Smackdowns before the move to Raw.

* Edge & Rey get the first fall after a combination Powerbomb & Whoopi Cushin..
* Angle ducks the spear and Benoit hits Edge with a title belt!
* Angle makes Edge tap out to the anklelock giving them the second fall..
* Angle & Benoit argue over who should take credit for the fall..
* Rey gets the third fall after a sunset flip pinfall, but Angle had his hand on the ropes!
* Rey & Edge are announced as new WWE Tag Team champions!!
* Angle & Benoit appeal to the referee as we go to commercial break..
* Referee Brian Hebner restarts the match for one more fall..

Steel Cage Match: Edge vs. Matt Hardy - Unforgiven 2005

Part 1
Part 2

The fifth match was a Steel Cage match contested between Matt Hardy and Edge, who was accompanied by Lita (Amy Dumas). As the bell rang, Hardy tried to throw Edge face-first into the cage wall but did not succeed. Back and forth action took place until Hardy got the advantage over Edge. Lita began to climb up the outside of the cage, but Hardy hit the cage, making Lita fall off. As Lita distracted Hardy, Edge started to crawl out. Hardy noticed this, grabbed Edge, and threw him into a corner. Lita interfered, which led to Hardy grabbing Lita's head in a forward position and forcefully pulling it down over his shoulders. Hardy got to the top of the cage and delivered a leg drop before covering Edge for the victory.

WWE Championship: John Cena(c) vs. Edge vs. Randy Orton vs. Shawn Michaels - Backlash 2007

Part 1

The main event was a Fatal Four-Way match for the WWE Championship between champion John Cena, Edge, Randy Orton and Shawn Michaels. During the opening minutes of the match, Michaels performed a moonsault onto Cena, Edge, and Orton outside the ring. Near the end of the match, Edge speared Orton after Cena reversed an RKO attempt by Orton. Cena then performed an FU on Edge, which was followed by Michaels executing Sweet Chin Music on Cena. When Cena fell, he landed on Orton and the referee counted the pinfall. Cena won the match and retained the WWE Championship.
