Alright guys, first off I want to thank everyone who participated. Actually got a couple of new voters for this week, and even though we lost a couple of the regulars I totally understand why. 1/2 of the job is done. No one has done/said anything stupid to this point, and I'd just like to say I really appreciate it. I appreciate that we were able to get voting for this particular list done with no problems. Keep it up. What I said back in the voting post still applies to this one of course.

With that out of the way, this was a terrifically competitive list. The last lists I got between 7:30 and 8:00 actually helped shape 18-23. The countdown begins tomorrow, but here are the ones that just missed the cut.

All of mine made it again! YESSS! I am sorta suprised that some didn't make the top 20 like The Two Main Power Trip match from Raw or the Money in the Bank from WM 21. This should be an excellent top 20, i am excited to find out what placed #1!

So I wake up today and hear that there were problems here last night. I was asleep so I have no idea who the offenders were and I can't do anything about it. I'm going to re-post this one time, one time alone, and if anyone thinks I'm in the mood to be questioned on this, try me.

Before you get to voting I want to make something perfectly clear right here and right now. This thread is solely for looking back at the in ring career of Chris Benoit. His matches, his feuds, that's it. That's all that belongs in this thread. For anyone who doesn't feel comfortable glorifying or celebrating the man in any way, it's totally understandable. Don't vote this week, and hopefully I'll see you back here next week with your top 10 for the next wrestler selected. With that being said, I'm only saying this once so make sure you pay attention. I'm going zero tolerance with this, so don't make me regret allowing Benoit to be represented in one of these countdowns. So much as a single mention of his out of the ring life will not be tolerated. It will be interpreted as flame baiting, period. End of discussion. If you are choosing not to vote this week, I totally respect it, but everyone doesn't need to know it. Do not draw attention to yourself or the topic in general by saying "I want no part of this one!" or "I don't think I can vote this week....". Allow those who are comfortable enough to do this, to do it. I'll be out for part of the afternoon (at least I'm supposed to be) but when I'm back I'll be watching this thread like a hawk. Don't make me regret trusting you people enough to do this countdown.

Thank you to everyone who participates and for everyone understanding. Hopefully this countdown will be as fun as the others.

United States Championship: Chris Benoit vs. Eddie Guerrero - Vengeance 2003

After Sunday Night Heat, the pay-per-view event began with a standard match for the vacant WWE United States Championship between Eddie Guerrero and Chris Benoit. The match was contested evenly between both men, with both of them performing a variety of offensive maneuvers. Guerrero eventually gained the upper hand when Rhyno (Terry Gerin) interfered in the match while the referee was (kayfabe) unconscious, performing a spear, a variation of a take down. Following this, Guerrero performed a body splash from the top turnbuckle onto Benoit, a move called a frog splash. Guerrero then covered Benoit for a pin, becoming the new WWE United States Champion.
