I understand why they're doing the Tribute to the Troops shows...but perhaps they look into other ways to reach out, they're going to get the workers really hurt. I know it's a battle zone...but WWE's workers are not soldiers...

With this, and the recent plane scare for the Smackdown crew, there is some very bad karma following the WWE superstars. Hopefully it all ends here.

Now I just have this mental image of the APA kicking everyones ass who came near them on the battlefields in Iraq. That would totally rule. And imagine Triple H destroying terrorists with his sledgehammer or Edge spearing them into oblivion. That said, I'm glad everyone's fine.

For five hours in the war zone ?? Wow, that must have been stressful. Not quite as much as for the soldiers who experience it every day, though. Well, at least now they can tell how horrible being on the battlefront is.

This makes RVD look fairly prescient by refusing to make those trips. The dude may be a stoner, but....

And imagine Triple H destroying terrorists with his sledgehammer or Edge spearing them into oblivion. That said, I'm glad everyone's fine. These aren't terrorists; we're in their country, and their infrastructure has basically fallen apart, and they were mad before, and they're even madder now. These are insurgents. Though the idea of someone popping up with an RPG and abruptly getting a codebreaker is very appealing. Speaking of, I've always wanted to see someone holding an AK-47 get stunned, so that they could flop backwards with the AK firing randomly into the air.

Without getting too into the politics...it does seem to be getting more and dangerous by the year. I know Vince loves it, but I don't know how if he can continue to keep taking them over there under such circumstances.
And it is a potential law suit waiting to happen. Everyone knows it's not really voluntary (you can't refuse to go without getting a lot of heat and your push suffering). If anything does happen, you'll have family members in court screaming about how Vince forced their lovedone to go to a dangerous warzone or they would lose their job.

Does Orton go to the Tribute to the Troops? 'cause I'd imagine the troops would have major beef with a deserter.
Mmmm....beef.
Mmmm...dessert.

He did, and all the female troops seemed to cream themselves over him.

I remember him saying he would never go a few years ago, because of what happened, but he's been twice now.
I don't know if that's out of the goodness of his heart or he was aware of the political ramifications of saying he wouldn't go. I'd like to say the former but it was probably the latter.
