So with very little time left until 2008 who does everyone think was the best wrestler in WWE of 2007?

Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Finlay, Elijah Burke, MVP, and CM Punk are responsible for the highest amount of good to great matches this year, in my opinion. Probably Matt Hardy most overall.
And Benoit during the first half of the year...

Honestly, I'm going to say MVP, no one entertained me more this year.

I vote Edge, not only has he had memorable matches but also has have been involved in important storylines and being the most entertaining part of WWE by far.

MVP, Punk, Burke, along with the Hardy's really stepped up their game, however, there is one man who sticks out

MVP, both Hardys, Edge, CM Punk, and John Cena were the best in the WWE this year.

Hmmm.... overall is tough to call. I mean, Cena has outperformed everybody in PPV main events, Edge is the best all rounder on the roster but was out for a good while over the summer months, MVP is the most improved by a country mile, Santino is the best character in years but has a lot to improve upon in the ring, HBK and Taker have both still got it despite their age. However in my mind I'd have to say Jeff Hardy, who's been simply superb since his surprise return. He's added some much needed prestige back to the Intercontinental title, and has been rewarded for such a good year with a title shot at the Rumble. When HHH puts you over, and puts you over clean, you must be doing something right

I hate to include anyone who had an extended injury, but Undertaker definitely deserves a mention.

I went with John Cena, but that was a really tough call. There are a lot of guys who deserve a mention (MVP, both Hardys, Edge, CM Punk), but since there has been a lot of injury and/or Wellness issues with the top guys, I don't think anyone really stands out.
Cena was the biggest draw, so he gets the vote.

There has been no better WRESTLER this year than Jeff Hardy. Look at how many great (commercial interrupted ) matches has the guy had this year on Raw. In the late half of the year, the Raw MOTN award was renamed the Jeff Hardy award, and now he's riding a monster push. He's got his first WWE Title shot since the ladder match against Undertaker on Raw back in 2002. And if he ever was in a situation that he would finally win the title, this would be it. No question in my mind. Best Wrestler of 2007: Jeff Hardy

Between Orton, MVP, and Jeff Hardy. Since Hardy missed time i'll narrow it to MVP and Orton. I'll give it to Orton narrowly. Orton has had a fantastic year, especially improving his in ring skills where he can get a really good match out of just about anyone.

Look, I'm one of Benoit's biggest defenders on this board, but why is he on there? How is he even eligible? He died halfway through the year. And before that, he was on a mostly uninteresting US champ run.

Probably Hardy, although I think 2008 will be the year of Edge.

I'm gonna say Batista. He has improved tremendously as a wrestler, IMO. I used to hate him, now I actually enjoy his matches. I went to WM this year and his match with Taker was the match of the night.

It's definitely John Cena, great matches with a WIDE VARIETY OF opponents, strong PPV buys, great arena numbers, plus his work in the ring has been the best of the year.
After Cena it's definitely Shawn Michaels.
THose who are in contention for break out year:
MVP Jeff Hardy
Really though nobody can really match Cena for all his great work this year.
Jeff Hardy's best matches were not as good as Cena's best matches.
That's all I'm saying.
Jeff Hardy's best matches weren't even better than MVP's best matches.
Cena has worked the best matches of the year, and i think a lot of people are voting for Jeff do to the hate/apathy for Cena.
Ahwell Wrestlecrap has always been anti-cena..so this is no surprise
