I was originally thinking of using the more sensational "Matt Hardy hospitalize again" title, but then realized that was kind of messed up considering this year but here is the original post as I found it:

-- WWE SmackDown superstar Matt Hardy was hospitalized again on December 8th with an abscess stemming from an infection from his appendectomy. He was put back on heavy antibiotics and later released on December 12th. As of right now he doesn’t expect this latest episode to delay his return.
-- The Record newspaper out of Mexico City is reporting that WWE is back in talks with Mistico. WWE is setting up its first South American run and is targeting that continent for growth and is looking at adding a few Hispanic superstars.
-- Ashley Massaro is now contractually cleared to return since the "Survivor" series ended on December 16th. She appeared on the reunion show that night.

Wrestlemania-ish time. What happened to Matt is not that uncommon so, the fact that he did nto die from the appendicitis is enough of a break.

Wrestlemania-ish time. What happened to Matt is not that uncommon so, the fact that he did nto die from the appendicitis is enough of a break. Gee, big return at the time of a match that earns the winner a title shot (MITB)? Wonder who will win that one? Not that I am complaining. I thought he had a moderate shot of winning last years after the success of the Hardys reunion. |

Why would Matt fight for the US title when he has a World Title shot? To continue with the tried and true way of having wrestler's put up their MITB in PPV's in exchange for the second-tier title Bingo. Plus, it will involve a "Unlike you, MVP, I don't run from challenges. Just to make a point, not only will I defend my MITB, I'll take your precious US title from you as well" promo. |

I don't like that scenario. This whole build up has been about MVP ducking Hardy in regards to the United States title. When Matt wins the belt, it should be on the grandest stage of them all to create that "Wrestlemania moment". With a Wrestlemania that's got a lot of question marks surrounding what kind of card we'll get, MVP vs. Hardy for the US belt would be a guaranteed emotional matchup with a lot of buildup behind it from MVP continuously ducking Hardy, to finally turning on him, to Hardy being on the shelf for all this time.
