The DVDs are all intended to be out of kayfabe, but some of the older wrestlers choose to stay in kayfabe. Arn Anderson in the Horseman DVD is a great example, where everyone else is talking about it as a work, but Arn keeps talking like it's all totally legit. Annoyed the hell outta me Arn Anderson annoyed the hell out of me as well on the DVD. I thought it was a great dvd cept Anderson playing it off as it was real. I neve read Arns book, but ive heard he fabes a lot in it.

In the Four Horseman DVD, wasn't Paul Roma being interviewed while playing in character?

In the Four Horseman DVD, wasn't Paul Roma being interviewed while playing in character? I honestly have no idea about Roma. I don't know if that is a character, or if he is just that delusional, or a combination of the two

The Bret Hart DVD also broke kayfabe, especially the whole Montreal thing. The Monday Night Wars also was one of those "some people didn't get the message" DVDs as McMahon and Bischoff pretty much weren't talking in kayfabe, but people like Gerald Briscoe were totally in kayfabe (or he just might be that much of a sychophant.). Now, come on, you're telling me that, if interviewed for a non-kayfabe DVD, you wouldn't randomly start ranting about killing people and burrying them in the mud or something? I actually appeared in a PBS documentary describing the impact of the character of Odysseus/Ulysses in Western culture. My final comment was simply "You don't mess with Ulysses...or Vince Mac-Mahon..."

Kayfabe still exists #1.
And, when someone says something as if it's real, it's not always just because they're trying to keep kayfabe, it's because it is real.
Breaking Kayfabe as in saying that wrestling is pre-determined, then most of them do that. The Road warriors dvd, for example, Had Animal telling a funnt story of LOD changing the finish to their own match.

I don't know if that is a character, or if he is just that delusional, or a combination of the two Roma was saying nice things about them, but then WWE told him that Flair was talking all types of trash about him, so Roma reacted, and then WWE filmed it.

The new Shawn Michaels DVD has murdered kayfabe.

Just like how Tombstone: History of the Undertaker really tried to protect it.
