As far as I know, Marcus Cor Van, alias Monty Brown, was wished well in his future endeavors for reasons other than injury or drugs. He had some sort of problems in his family that he took time off to deal with, and finally told WWE it would take longer than they were willing to wait. To the best of my knowledge, the company parted ways with him on respectful and friendly terms. So that raises the question, could he ever be re-hired and back on television again? I would not be surprised if we never see him again. If the issue is painful enough, it could take the wind out of his sails and remove his desire to ever wrestle again. But if he manages to rally himself, do you guys think that WWE would be willing to have him back? I'd be inclined to say yes. On the surface, he is the kind of guy WWE just can't resist-a hoss. But he is also definitely talented in the ring. And it might actually be cool to see him return to ECW sometime later this year and become a surprise challenger for Punk's title. Anyone agree?

if he can get things under control with his personal life, then it woulden't be too surprising if they bring him back if he wants to.

I certainly hope so, I was pretty disappointed when he was released. It looks like he left on good terms though so who knows.

He'd be more likely to return to TNA if/when his life gets under control.

Let's hope so, he really never had a chance to shine. He could do quite well on Smackdown right now.

If he wants to. I believe it's been said that he didn't make much of a different salary in WWE than he did with his previous job (personal trainer, i think).
When he worked for TNA he almost never did indy shows, and spent all that free time (TNA was like 3-5 days a month), doing his other job.

Isn't he taking care of his sisters two younger children (both under five) because she past away. That is what I always remember hearing, and if that is the case more power to him.
I was not a fan of his ECW stint, but in TNA I was a mega-fan.

I am a huge fan of his, and I hope to see him back. I think it's a crime that WWE didn't let him talk more during his stay, but his ring work is entertaining to me also so I didn't mind too much. Although his debut promo where he mocked the "What?" was hilarious I thought. Does anyone still have that GIF?
Oh and if he comes back, he needs a different theme song.

He made it to their promotional posters this year (ONS), so they clearly had some plans for him before his personal life derailed him. I think they would welcome him back. Besides, that story about putting his career on hold to watch out for his sister's kids is a great story for the mainstream press. It's pretty much "The Game Plan" in real life.

I'd think he won't come back until his family situation is resolved. Family first. Wrestling doesn't leave a lot of time for wrestling.

I've always heard he sat out to take care of his recently deceased sister's children. He deserves respect for putting family first. He apparently has a good head on his shoulders and knows what's important in life.
From Konnan's newest online interview on wrestlezone, it seems Monty Brown was a victim of some racism while in TNA. I think that might be enough to keep him from going back there.
I think he'll come back to WWE one day, he left on good terms and they have to be understanding on why he made his decision (better than some in the WWE here recently......ahem).
If he was a personal trainer before, there is money to be made in that and you can pretty much make your schedule so he could still play Mr. Mom.
Whatever he decides to do with his life, as long as he keeps his head straight and knows whats important.

If it is true the reason he left is to care for his nieces and/or nephews, then first, I give him major respect for giving up a dream job to do that and second, doubt he'll be back. He's not a young guy, plus he has his own personal trainer business that makes him good money and allows him to make his own hours. So unless those kids are only a couple years away from being more responsible for themselves, I don't see him coming back.
Then again who knows.

i dont want him back if theyre going to mis-use him like they did last time, but i do hope his personal problems are resolved See I don't even think WWE mis-used him. They were building him up with the wins, and then the new breed. When questions of family issues came up, he made sporadic appearrances. His loss to punk was his final time on WWE tv. And well he went out during a tournament to decide the future ECW champion. I really think that's telling. Had he stayed...blah blah blah that's just the way things worked out.

If he ever did come back, I hope it's a surprise. Just have him attack 2 Wrestlers during the match, then grab a mic and go "POOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOUUUUUUUUUUUUNCE, PERIOD"!!!!!!! P.S. At least we still have this
