Predictions for 2008

What do you predict will happen in 2008? Im bookmarking this thread so we can see it during the end of next year so see which predictions were right and which ones were wrong. Ill Bring this thread up at the Rumble, Wrestlemania, Summerslam, Survivor Series, and in the end of the year.

This is what i think:

-Cena will be Champ again
-HHH will win the WWE Championship
-Mr. Kennedy will win the Intercontinental Championship
-MVP will win Money in the Bank
-MVP will be drafted to Raw
-RVD will return

2 more WWE stars will show up on TNA by the end of the year

talented wrestlers will be released

Edge will have 2 more title reigns, being serious here... maybe one.

Jeff Hardy will be a regular title contender, as will Matt.

Chavo will still be in push-limbo

Colt Cabana will be in ECW originally as a face but will turn heel before the year is out.

Vince will get too much screentime.

Kennedy will either get injured or do something stupid to ruin a push he's getting.

Jeff Hardy will win a Major Championship. Might be like Kane's ONE NIGHT ONLY run, but he will have gold. (WWE, World or ECW)




I need to make some obvious predictions just to keep my street cred... so here are Captain Obvious Predictions:

Vince will be in a Major Storyline(s)

Cena will Win

Pat Patterson will still be gay

Oohhhh....MVP winning Money in the Bank....I like that. That concept is so made for heels the way Royal Rumble is made for faces.

Though I'd like to see a heel win the Rumble and a face win the MITB (like when RVD had it).

But it won't happen....so Royal Rumble winner - umm... Undertaker wins again!
MITB - Maybe not MVP because he'll have his match with Matt Hardy, so either Kennedy again (if he can get the steam he had last year going for him, which I think he can) or Carlito.

Colt will be called up to ECW, I'm going to guess. I honestly see them doing that.

Oh...maybe Ric Flair will win the MITB, cash in at Mania, and then lose, but bowing out gracefully in his last match..... That would be cool.

Yeah I dunno if my predictions are any good because I'm SO bad at settling my mind on something.

I see the Chavo/Punk feud to be a sweet one.

Undertaker will lose the belt to Batista

The three will swap the belt around for much of 2008

EVIL Mr. McMahon will still be taking too much time up

The women's division will become an even bigger joke

MVP will turn face or at least become an in-between character

Kennedy will still suck

Undertaker will not retire, but may give up his WM streak

Triple H and HBK will hang around as luxury comedy sidekicks

Kennedy will get another push

Jeff and Matt will hold more gold

ECW will still struggle

Chuck Palumbo will get a world title shot on a PPV

Lance Cade will go solo and get a midcard push to the IC title

Samoa Joe will jump to WWE

The Big Show will return at WrestleMania to fight the Great Khali

Hulk Hogan will be indicted for providing alcohol for a minor and complicity in Nick's accident and possibly do jail time.

Get the obvious ones out of the way first:

-Vince McMahon's stale character will continue to dominate the airwaves and take up way too much TV and storyline time.

-John Cena gets ANOTHER 6+ month title reign to the delight of little kids and the horror of many of the rest of us.

-Jeff's main event push will stall out by Wrestlemania and he'll be back to the upper mid card. This one makes me sad

-CM Punk leaves ECW for Smackdown.

-HHH will turn heel by the Summer and feud with Shawn again.

-Batista gets another title reign he doesn't need.



Now a little more ballsy:

-Edge beats Taker with underhanded tactics to retain the Championship in the semi-main event of Wrestlemania.

-Matt Hardy vs Edge for the title on PPV WILL happen.

-MVP and Batista will be the second biggest feud on Smackdown......

-.....until MVP is drafted to Raw.

-Elijah Burke moves to commentary and we don't see him wrestle for awhile

-WWE will sign Nigel McGuinness and/or Claudio Castagnoli from Ring of Honor.

-Lashley will hold the WWE Championship by winter.

Good predictions, fellas. I could see any of these happening.

We know for sure that Mr. McMahon's mug will be all over our television screens, as he fancies himself the great wit. That way he doesn't have to hire one or two WRESTLERS.

For the fans of uwf circa 1986, here's Mary Alejo.

-- MVP will get a world title shot at a PPV, and lose but with dignity (rather than a full-out job)

-- Big Daddy V and Mark Henry will move to RAW (or just stick with Smackdown) and become a black version of the Natural Disasters, putting a stranglehold on the tag titles.

-- Cena will NOT win back the WWE Title in 2008. Vince will give him the Royal Rumble/WM treatment (win 2009 Rumble, then win the title at WM 25)

-- The Great Khali and Umaga will slowly go into obscurity and will eventually be released.

-- Rey Mysterio will move to RAW.

-- Jericho and JBL will eliminate themselves from the Royal Rumble.

-- Edge and the Edgeheads will all hold gold at some point.

-- Lita will be back for either one more match or for a slightly long term.

--Kenny, Super Crazy, and DH Smith will be drafted to ECW.

--Randy Orton, Big Daddy V, and Snitsky will be drafted to Smackdown

--Matt Hardy will beat MVP at WM for the US Title.

--Chris Jericho will not win the World or WWE title

--London and Kendrick will win the World Tag Titles

--Jerry Lawler will feud with a member of the active roster.

--Santino will get another IC title run. This time...much more enjoyable.

--Cade & Murdoch will split as a team. Murdoch will become a face. Three months later, he turns heel and they will return as team.

--JBL will retire from the ring again.

- Jeff Hardy will win MITB. He'll then be traded to Smackdown, where he'll eventually win the title. This will be the start of a long feud with Matt, who will turn heel on his brother out of his long-simmering jealousy.

- MVP will be traded to Raw, where he'll enter into a feud with HBK that will cement him as a main eventer.

- Candice will once again win the Women's Title, but will lose it to a once-again psycho Mickie.

- Haas, Super Crazy, Thorn and Snitsky will all be wished well in their future endeavors.

- CM Punk will turn heel after losing the ECW title and being drafted to Smackdown.

- Sunny will be re-signed and will manage London and Kendrick, leading them to finally capture the Tag Team Titles.

- DH Smith and Cody Rhodes will both be moved to ECW.

Kennedy will waste his shot but will somehow still be given another shot ala Orton

75 of the people wished well in their future endeavors will be on TNA shortly thereafter
The Dudleys will return and have awesome matches with London & Kendrick

-Matt eventually wins the US Title
-ECW will continue to not be too exciting
-The Cruiserweight title will be completely forgotten/abandoned
-Wrestlemania's Raw main event won't be terribly exciting. Smackdown's may have a chance if it involves Edge and/or Undertaker
-MVP will continue to kick ass
-Some people will pass away way too young , at least one will be someone everyone really likes.
