Its been around for 5 years. Its made us wait approximatly one week to see what will happen next episode instead of waiting for SmackDown! later in the week. Yes, I'm talking about the Brand Extension, the main reason the Attitude era ended. I't has left us with a batch of wrestlers on one brand and another on the other. It has made two world titles when it is the law to have only one. It is a discrace to the already discaceful WWE. So all of you fourm fillers what do you think, should it stay or should it end, cast your votes...nnnnnnnow.

This question gets asked on a weekly basis. I suggest before you make some new threads, you knock around a bit more and then start posting some more.
As for this topic, I'll say what I always say - if the brand extension was ended, more than half of the roster would lose their job and the rest would have their workloads doubled at the minimum.

No, no and no!
Ending the brand extension wouldn't make a difference in terms of actual booking and pushes.
Or, better, it would give even more airtime to the same 6-8 guys, while the rest of the roster would just disappear.
We'd have Cena, Orton, D-X, Edge, Taker, Batista plus a "random" 8th man sharing the main event spots on every show, with minimal time for the midcard titles, and Heat for all the others.

Yes, WWE has gotten worse since the brand split.

Ahh, it wouldn't be a week without a few of these...
I don't believe it would help, as I don't think any problems are really the result of the extension as much as the bookers, writers and performers. Ending it wouldn't change that, it'd just force more of the same people onto us.

Dammit, I called dibs on making this thread two days ago. I've been bamboozled!
But to answer the question, no. There's a ton of guys that simply wouldn't get an opportunity if the brand extension were to end.

I say yes because now all these guys are jumping around on shows now, and it's pointless.

I always liked the brand split and never wanted them to end it, but it seems like they have relaxed the brand split nowadays to the point where there isn't much of a point to it anymore. Raw guys show up on Smackdown and no one bats an eye. Smackdown and ECW are one and the same now. Every single PPV now has all 3 brands on it.
So if the question is should WWE end this current half-assed version of the brand split... I say sure. Back when Raw and Smackdown were two VERY different programs and there was little to no crossover, it really felt like two distinct choices that you had for watching. Now, we basically have three nights of WWE.

No. Don't end the brand extension. Just have ONE world champion defending the title on all shows.

Just cancel ECW and shift its talent to Smackdown. Three's too much.

I'd wager the former, which wouldn't change. They'd have to push the maineventers of both Raw and Smackdown into it. I'm sure we'd be seeing a whole lot of "wished well" if it happened.

One reason that led to WCW's downfall was Thunder, which meant that wrestlers work twice for the same amount of money. If the brandsplit ended, a lot of wrestlers would get angry because of that reason.
Don't let your pipedreams of booking ignore what happens in real life.

I personally doubt anyone working in the WWE wants to end the Brand Split.

No. As much as I'd dig Spanky or London on the indy scene, the brand extension gives more wrestlers jobs which is nothing but good. It also doesn't effect my enjoyment of the show so it doesn't hurt that way either.

These guys work almost daily anyways, doesnt matter if they are on TV wrestling or not.

At this point, there's only a brand extension in house shows only. On TV, it doesn't mean anything if any wrestler on whatever brand can show up on another brand given the circumstance.
