Dark Matches:
1) Nunzio defeated "The Natural" Nick Nemeth (w/ Big Rob) with a rollup. Nemeth appears to be one part Steve Corino and one part Billy Gunn. He kicked out of the Sicicilian Slice but still lost. Big Rob was freakishly massive.
2) The Great Khali defeated Tommy Dreamer with the Vice Grip. The crowd actually popped for the Vice Grip.
ECW Tapings:
- Armando Estrada opens the show by introducing us to Chavo Guerrero. Chavo says that he watched ECW while he was injured and was sick of CM Punk being called the "future of WWE." CM Punk comes out to point out what a lame excuse that is. Armando makes Chavo vs. Punk where Chavo gets an ECW Title shot if he wins.
1) Jimmy Wang Yang, Shannon Moore, & Kelly Kelly defeated John Morrison, The Miz, & Layla when Yang pinned Miz. Most of the match saw Moore play face in peril. At one point Morrison accidentally sent Moore flying into Layla and Moore's head hit her right in the face; she spent most of the match holding her face. Yang eventually gets the tag, the girls fight, Moore takes out Morrison on the outside, and Yang reverses a corner charge into a beautiful looking Yang Time for the win. It was later announced that the two teams will meet in a 15 Minutes of Fame Match next week. The graphic had "WWE Tag Team Championship" written on it, so I'm not sure if they have 15 minutes to win the belts or if it's for a title shot like normal.
- Tazz interviews a returning Collin Dellaney and recaps his beatdown at the hands of Shelton Benjamin. Dellaney says it's his New Year's resolution to become a WWE superstar. Tazz introduces his opponent: Big Daddy V.
2) Big Daddy V defeated Collin Dellaney after the Samoan Drop and an elbow drop.
3) Shelton Benjamin defeated James Curtis. Curtis had an entrance video but got the jobber introduction. Curtis got in much more offense then you would have figured. Boring match. Benjamin eventually powerbombs Curtis into the turnbuckle and hits his unnamed finisher for the win.
4) CM Punk defeated Chavo Guerrero by count out to deny Chavo an ECW Title shot. Decent match that eventually spilled to the outside. Both men fought to get in before the ten count and Punk just barely makes it in.

Collin Dellaney is the new Mikey Whipwreck, eh? That actually sounds good.

So did they sign Collin Olsen or is this just like an extended tryout or something?

Returning superstar doesn't get immediate title shot?
What a novel concept...

The Colin Olsen saga continues? smurfIN' A!!!!!!!!!!!! I bet he jobs to the whole ECW roster, and finally gets in a match with Nunzio. Neither can figure out what to do since they aren't being squashed. Finally Funaki runs out and DDT's them both and then the Earth implodes.

I'm praying for Colin to get a developmental deal and bring Jimmy Jam Olsen with him. Those two are mid-card money, baby.

Sounds awesome.
Also, how often does the "Win and get a title shot" stipulation end with...the person not getting a title shot. At least, for now.
Plus: Collin Dellaney is back!
At this point (Three appearances) can James Curtis be counted as part of the regular roster? He's been on TV more than Mike Knox lately.

Honestly, though, I hate that they're already building his rep as a jobber, because if he's the guy I think I remember him as, he's pretty damn talented, if a bit bland. Also, wonder what Kofi's up to this week.

Moore and Wang are legitimate tag title contenders. Sweet.

He's a good old school style heel, in my opinion, should be a solid midcarder in WWE if given the chance. I wish I had the chance to see his recent OVW stuff, because the pictures of him wearing the TV title belt with a picture of his face on it amused me.

This is much better then the spoilers I read on pwmania. I'm sure it was the same thing, it was just one giant run-on sentence without punctuation.

WELNESS POLICY!!! Anyways, I'd guess that it was him as "Big Rob" is Nemeth's bodyguard in FCW, and I believe he's the only Rob on their roster. I guess we'll have to wait to hear from someone at the show though. Bodybuider guy aside, I hope Nemeth gets another shot with a serious gimmick. I haven't seen his FCW stuff, but I read he's done a really good job re-inventing himself as a cocky heel. I know he's already been up on the main roster twice, but I don't think being the caddy of a hispanic guy who's pretending to be white, and part of a male cheerleader faction were exactly fair chances to get over. If he's added some personality to go with his good athleticism and strong amateur background, he could end up being pretty good.
