Time seems to be proving the story on DH Smith's call up to the main roster even more correct. Since his return from suspension at the start of the month, Smith has been relegated to heat and making infrequent appearances on house shows even though he was getting a push before his suspension. WWE officials were well aware of his drug failure several weeks before they made the decision to call him up to the main roster in October. At the time of his drug failure in mid-September, he was still a developmental wrestler, but his suspension would have no political value to the public unless he was guy on the main roster who they were pushing. Basically, he was called up to be made an example of.

So he gets called up to be an example and relagated to heat. Chavo gets a suspension and get to come back to the ecw title picture. Nice examples.

It's still a title scene, which mean extra cash and prestige. Hardly a great example and, when you compare against Smith, hardly fair.
Then again i could be bias cos i find Chavo dull.

I love how they jump conclusions because he's been on Heat for like 2 weeks. As for Chavo he was back for about a month and a half before they did anything with him, he spent most of his until he attacked Punk, jobbing to an OVW guy in dark matches.

Dark matches dont count. Anything off tv/web shows doesnt count cos the majority of fans have no clue about that sorta stuff.

Dark matches dont count. Anything off tv/web shows doesnt count cos the majority of fans have no clue about that sorta stuff. The majority of fans don't know about stuff that happens on Heat either. I know it's televised in the UK or whatever, but hardly anyone watches the Heat webcast in the states. All being on Heat means is that they didn't have anything for him to do on RAW these couple of weeks. That's part of the reason no one cares about the tag division, because they have all their matches on Heat, and no one knows who the contenders are or anything because they don't watch Heat. Meltzer's sticking with his story about the drug test even though I'm pretty sure it was reported elsewhere that the story is false. But is it really so out of the realm of possibility that they called him up, had a beginning feud in mind for him, but things changed creatively in the month he was gone, so now they don't have anything for him at the moment? He's probably jumping to conclusions about him being off TV for a couple of weeks, just like he did when he assumed the Balls Mahoney-Kelly Kelly relationship angle had been dropped because Mahoney hadn't been on TV for a few weeks, and printed a false story about Vince dropping the angle. Turned out the angle hadn't been dropped after all, as they then continued it on the next 2 week of TV.

For what it's worth, Alvarez reported that in the meeting after the news came out, Vince seemed genuinely shocked by it.
That said, in the few weeks he was one main roster people noted they didn't seem to have a plan in place for him, maybe they knew he would be gone soon enough and wouldn't need one.

Part of me feels bad for him, but part of me laughs because he chose to do steroids just like his dead dad.
I have no soul, it seems, hence why I just said that.

Chavo has had some good moments- I loved him with the horse in WCW and his fued with Eddie- but he lacks the X-Factor that Eddie possessed
