Bret vs Owen
But I've heard that CZW's Cage of Death 5 event match is the best cage match of all time.

CoD5 isn't the best cage match ever, but it's a very well booked match. It was during CZW's glory years.
Look it up on You Tube. It's worth checking out.
Plus, the Hi-V has some kickass theme music.

Bret Vs Owen got 5 stars didn't it? It deserved it.
It's fun, fast and truly exciting- three adjectives that often can't be added to a cage match. A good comparison would be Mankind/Undertaker Hell In A Cell, which is ridiculously morbid and slowl

I also forgot about HHH/Mick Foley at No Way Out 2000. It had HHH in his prime, the intro to flaming barb-wire, and Foley falling through a cage only to get back up to fall victim to the pedigree.

LAX vs. The Phenomenal Angels at BFG '06. My last mark-out high moment for TNA, and prob. my favorite match of last year.
Angle vs. Benoit on RAW back in 2001. The one where they both missed their high spots and Austin was on commentary.
Steel Cage Warfare
Cage of Death 5 and the first COD match during 6. (Not the H8 Club one...the one with Team Cash vs. Team Blackout I think it was)

One of the Forgotten Cage matches- The Steiner Brothers vs Money INC right before Summerslam in 1993...that one has to be my favorite... with Triple X vs AMW being close behind.

I remember that match (steiners-money inc). I thought it was really, really cool and was going to mention it myself, but I couldn't remember who the Steiners faced. Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the rule that both members of a team had to leave the cage, so there were points where people were climbing back in?

Indeed, the cage match was one of WWF/E's four 5 star affairs. just out of curiosity, what were the other three? Bret Hart v. Steve Austin - WM13 Shawn Michaels v. Razor Ramon - WM10 (The Ladder Match) Shawn Michaels v. Undertaker - Hell in a Cell And yes...it's UNBELIEVABLY sad that I know that off the top of my head.

My personal favorite was a Steel Cage match I saw at Stabler Arena at Lehigh University in PA. The main event was Kurt Angle VS John Cena for the WWE Title. The crowd was way into it. The females were chanting CENA, CENA and the males were chanting SUCKS after every Cena. So we had a high pitched CENA, followed immediately by a low pitched SUCKS. The crowd also chanted WE WANT BLOOD a lot. Every near fall was met with OOOHHHSS and AAAAHHHSS. You would have thought it was the main event of wrestlemania and I was able to sit back and enjoy the whole thing. I even smarked a little because even though I knew Cena would win there were a few moments Kurt made me believe he was walking away the Champ. I was at this show, it was right after Christmas 2005. I disagree on the audience reaction. It was about 97% Cena - 3% Angle. imo. My favorite was BossMan-Hogan from a SNME in 1989. It was the first superplex off a cage ever and I remember marking out for this.

I'll leave out any Cage of Death's, since they're bigger than normal cage matches.
But the most recent great one was LAX vs. AJ/Daniels at Bound For Glory. That was the first mainstream wrestling match in AGES where, the minute the first teams' music hit, I sat up, took notice, and thought "Oh my God, this is epic." Like, it FELT like great wrestling should feel.

I'll give a nod to Flair, since he's one of my most disliked wrestlers of all the times, and his match against Ricky Morton from Great American Bash '86. Favorite though is Bret/Owen from SummerSlam.
