September 4, 1995. Mall of America in Minneapolis. WCW fires the first shot in the Monday Night Wars and over the next six years we have some of the most memorable moments in the history of professional wrestling from both companies.
I'm one for anniversaries, so I thought I'd post this.

How times change. I was too young to truely understand the war...but dammit am I glad I was a mark for those days.

Without looking, who remembers the main event?
I'm sure someone does.

where I live nitro never came on monday nights it was always tuesday that we watched. so I never really experienced the war since I didn't have to choose.

For some reason, I'm thinking Muta versus Sting.

The main event was Hulk Hogan vs. Big Bubba Rogers.
I marked so much for the first Nitro, I was so excited that whole day, I couldnt wait.
I was even more excited the next week when Raw would be on as well.

Yeah after looking up, I am kinda glad I forgot it. Liger/Pillman was the opener and Hogan vs. Big Bubba was the main event, Luger comes out at the end challenges Hogan to a match the following week, in a dream match of mine. I'm sure I'll be bombarded by people for saying that but I always wanted to see those two face off.

Too bad time ran over so the viewers couldn't see it.
