i also loved seeing a bizarrelly laid back steve austin behind the scenes talking to mick and his family. it was rare to see him in good spirits back then, lol. i always laugh at the following exchange that was something to the effect of: mick: how ya doin steve. steve: (long pause after staring at mick) ...im not doing very good at all... i wondered what that was all about, lol. I think he mutters something about his knee or neck hurting. It might be on Mick's commentary track. He is referring to one of his injuries not feeling great, though. Speaking of commentary tracks, the one with Funk is great, as all things involving Terry Funk are. (Spike Dudley appears on screen) Funk: "Now, there is a nut."

WE are this far and nobody said Stamp yet??? WTF...
STAMP..
And when Mike Modest the other guy who works at Visa and Roland walk into the WWE event. Look at Roland's tshirt its a rip off of a Calvin Klien ad but says Sf for San Fran. and he is wearing sweatpants!!!!
Note to Roland... Anytime your in the big time just a regular collared shirt... Not even that just a nice shirt and some dress pants or jeans goes a long way.
Actually looking at him they should have brought Roland in to feud with Val Venis and call him Jon Reremy.

I was going to mention the backstage morale surrounding ECW's huge financial gamble on its first-ever PPV (Barely Legal 97), but someone already covered it, so I'll just refer to the director's insight, which ads considerable depth to what still would have otherwise been a great documentary.

The director with Mick Foley and Jesse F'IN' Ventura on visual commentary, plus the ensuing 20-minute interview on Special Features.
After seeing that, I can't wait to read Jesse's book.

I've never seen the DVD-edition of Beyond the Mat. Way back when the movie first came out on video, I rented it on VHS. So the DVD-edition includes commentary? Would you recommend that I pick up the DVD edition if all I've seen so far has been the VHS edition?

The local promoter talking about Jake. I mean, that nose was just freakish! Seriously, I remember one of my friends being freaked out watching that nose when he saw it for the first time. Also, Stamp saying "I would've had a better match with Dory than the guy he's wrestling" was gold.

Vince - HE'S HE'S HE'S GOING TO PUKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!
Jr looking on like wtf Vince...
The people talking about New Jack at the film try out
"He looks like a best friend." "Yeah like Denzel's best friend in a film" I swear I though New Jack was going to cut the guy and woman.
Paul E's speech before the ppv, was pretty much magic.

2. New Jack doing an audition for a part in a movie. How about the ass kissers telling him that he could be denzel co star or some retarded crap. I can only imagine that New Jack's acting ability makes the Barbarian Brothers look like Deniro and Pacino in comparison. I completely marked out at the mention of the Barbarian Brothers.

Jim Ross: "I don't care who wins, I don't care who loses. All I care about...is an ass every 18 inches."
Something like that.
