I am utterly shocked and amazed that Extreme Elimination Chamber didn't even place.

You Fans Can Stick It Award (Best Interview Award)
Winner: Santino Marella84 points (13 first place votes)Thanks mostly to his Italian accent and butchering of most popular American catchphrases, Santino Marella won his second award, the You Fans Can Stick It Award. After winning the Intercontinental Title, Marella’s first few interviews could have only been more stereotypical if he started cooking pasta fagioli. However his heel turn in July gave him confidence behind the stick. He laid into popular wrestlers, such as The Sandman, Ron Simmons and Stone Cold Steve Austin. Marella’s taunts would be better if he were a little tougher in the ring, as so far the only man he got the better of was Simmons, a man who was retired for 3 ½ years. Despite his lack of toughness, the irritable Italian found a way to entertain fans, albeit in an unorthodox way. And those are the bottom lines because Santino Marella says them to be so. First Runner Up: Edge38 Points (4 first place votes)The Rated R Superstar and former 2x WWE Champion is never at a loss for words. His persuasiveness almost got him a WrestleMania Main Event and did get him the Money In The Bank contract (and eventual World Title). Edge switched to SmackDown this year, and brought The Cutting Edge with him. He will continue to rile up opponents, but needs to watch out because one day they will shut him up. Second Runner Up: Christian Cage 36 points (3 first place votes)TNA finally returns to the Crappy’s as The Instant Classic Christian Cage finishes third in this category. The 2x NWA World Champion back doored his way in and out of many a situation in the past year and talked his way into forming an impressive stable of wrestlers-The Christian Coalition. However, just like the rest of them, his big mouth got him into trouble and we’ll see how he does in 08 without his muscle behind him. Third Runner Up: Mr. Kennedy30 points (3 first place votes)A microphone drops from the ceiling as Kennedy announces his arrival ala boxing announcers of old, even to the point of repeating his last name. While no one can doubt Kennedy’s toughness, it was his idiocy that cost him his Money In The Bank shot (and potential WrestleMania main event). Kennedy further proved that he rubbed the wrong people the wrong way, as he was suspended the month of September for impersonating a McMahon. Others receiving votes: (These are the top point getters who did not crack the Top 4. This is not the entire list though.) Montel Vontavious Porter, Larry Sweeney, Jimmy Jacobs, Kurt Angle, Chris Jericho, Shawn Michaels and John Morrison.

Haas & Benjamin Award (World’s Greatest Tag Team or Tag Team Of The Year)
Winners: Mark & Jay Briscoe99 points (15 first place votes)The brother tandem of Mark & Jay Briscoe are 4 time ROH World Tag Team Champions. Their current reign of 261 days is the second longest in ROH history, behind Austin Aries and Roderick Strong’s 273 days. Their title defenses against teams from around the world have helped propel them over the competition and into the role as winners of the Haas & Benjamin Award. After defeating Christopher Daniels & Matt Sydel at the Fifth Year Festival, their third reign was short lived, as they quickly dropped the straps in their first defense to Naruki Doi & Shingo. Overcoming the odds, they battled back and reclaimed the straps for a record fourth time on March 30, defeating Doi & Shingo. The Briscoes successfully defended the belts against Claudio Castagnoli and Matt Sydel at Respect Is Earned and against Kevin Steen and El Generico at Driven. It was however, at Man Up, that their most grueling battle occurred. A ladder war against Steen & Generico saw both teams come within inches of reaching the championship gold. Both teams took an incredible amount of punishment. After 20 minutes of action, The Briscoes fought gravity (and the rigging that held the title belts) to remain champions. First Runner Up: Motor City Machine Guns77 points (10 first place votes)Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley, as individuals, were the breakout stars of the X-Division in 2006. However when they combined their collective talents in TNA, the next great team was born. Despite not holding the TNA World Tag Team Titles, Sabin & Shelley elevated their status with a series of victories, including one over Team 3D at Genesis. Second Runner Up: Lance Cade & Trevor Murdoch61 points (7 first place votes)The 3-time World Tag Team Champions rose out of nowhere in April to become WWE’s top tag team. A long series of matches with The Hardyz saw Cade & Murdoch befriend Jeff & Matt before cheating to claim the championships. They held onto the belts the rest of the grading period, picking up wins over London & Kendrick, Cryme Tyme and Hardcore Holly & Cody Rhodes. Third Runner Up: Paul London & Brian Kendrick56 points (6 first place votes)The longest reigning WWE Tag Team Champions in history, London & Kendrick proved their dominance by defeating all SmackDown teams, including MNM, Dave Taylor & William Regal, Deuce & Domino and even The Hardyz. After being drafted to Raw in the 2007 Lottery, London & Kendrick have had difficulties gaining a footing on Raw. But no one would be surprised to see them claim Raw’s World Tag Team Title in 2008. Others receiving votes: (These are the top point getters who did not crack the Top 4. This is not the entire list though.) LAX, Deuce & Domino, Kevin Steen & El Generico, Jesse & Festus, The Hardyz, Team 3D and Matt Hardy & MVP

Bret Hart Award (Wrestler Of The Year)
Winner: Bryan Danielson61 points (11 first place votes)The American Dragon Bryan Danielson held the ROH World Title for the first 4 weeks of the grading period, missed 4 months recovering from injuries, returned, failed in his quest for the ROH World Title, got injured again, came back and came up short against Morishima again, watched a new champion be crowned and injured, and oh yeah, won the Bret Hart Award for Wrestler Of The Year! At ROH Final Battle 2006 Danielson dropped the ROH Championship to Homicide. After taking a brief sabbatical to recover from various injuries, Danielson returned in time for ROH’s first pay per view, Respect Is Earned, where he teamed with Takeshi Morisihima to defeat Nigel McGuinness and Kenta. Danielson continued to eye the title which he held longer then anyone else, but his quest to the top was not an easy one. In addition to the ROH Title, he sought after the newly vacated NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Danielson defeated Superstars such as Nelson Creed and Adam Pearce en route to the finals. Back in ROH, Danielson received a title shot after beating Nigel McGuinness at ROH Driven. On August 16 he cashed in his title shot, only to suffer an orbital bone fracture which not only led to him losing this match, but being pulled from the NWA Title Tournament. Danielson is continuing his quest back to the top and is content with beating everyone within an inch of their lives along the way. First Runner Up: C.M. Punk50 points (5 first place votes)Punk comes just 11 points shy of the award. Shockingly enough Punk spent the entire year in ECW, but most of it was spent in search of the belt, ala Danielson. Punk feuded with Mike Knox, Hardcore Holly and Elijah Burke and competed in the Money In The Bank Ladder Match at WrestleMania 23 before setting his sights on the ECW World Title. Champion John “Johnny Nitro” Morrison beat him on three consecutive pay per views, before Punk picked up the win and the belt. Second Runner Up: John Cena28 points (2 first place votes)Love him or hate him (and most of you hate him), Cena left an indelible mark in WWE in 2007. He ventured to both SmackDown and ECW during his 13 month reign as WWE Champion and defeated superstars like Umaga, Shawn Michaels, Edge, The Great Khali, Mick Foley, Bobby Lashley, The Undertaker and Randy Orton, all before going down to injury. Third Runner Up: Shawn Michaels27 Points (2 first place votes)This was a year of “almosts” for Shawn Michaels. He almost won the World Tag Team Title at New Years Revolution. He almost won the Royal Rumble. He almost won the WWE Championship at WrestleMania, Backlash, Cyber Sunday and Survivor Series. And he almost had his career ended by The Legend Killer. Despite all this (and the fact that he didn’t beat Cena in this either), Michaels continues to keep his head high and will always be a top contender to any championship he wants. Others receiving votes: (These are the top point getters who did not crack the Top 4. This is not the entire list though.) Edge, Undertaker, Matt Hardy, Kurt Angle, Takeshi Morishima, Jeff Hardy, Nigel McGuiness and Christian Cage.

I laughed!
I cried!
I hurled!
I was suprised Danielson got the Hart Award, considering how much he's been injured. I was expecting Jeff Hardy.

The Newcomer Award was given to someone who made a full time switch to a different brand during the year. So, that's how Edge qualified.
I'm not sure about FIST, because my Word Perfect f'd up and deleted the entire document with the points on instead of saving it.
I'll look through the ballots that are still saved in my inbox and let you know.

Nice picture of Batista you got there. Ha ha, but seriously, great stuff all around, and yes that is Prazak. What's wrong with that pic of Batista? And thank you. Nothing now, when I first saw it, it took up my whole screen. Just a funny thing...

My personal #1's from the voting:
Bret Hart Award (Wrestler of the Year): Bryan Danielson
Haas & Benjamin Award (Tag Team of the Year): MCMG
You Fans Can Stick It! Award (Best interviewee): I put down Colt Cabana, but I dunno what I was thinking.
King Harley Race Award (Best Newcomer): Lince Dorado (CHIKARA/Mexican indys)
The Anti-Gooker (Best New Angle/Gimmick of '07): Tim Donst, All American
The Shawn Michaels Award (Best Match of the Year): Michaels/Cena, WWE RAW (4/23/07)
The Jackie Gayda Award (Worst Match of the Year): Extreme Elimination Chamber, December to Disregard (12/3/06) (a real shame that almost none of you put this down, considering it was just inside the limits, and most of you crapped all over the match itself)
Hulk Hogan Award (Best Use of Limited Wrestling Talent): Santino Marella
Gordon Solie Award (Best Announcer): Mike Quackenbush (Honestly, he makes Jim Ross look foolish in this department. You guys really need to get CHIKARA DVD's.)
Best Finisher: Go 2 Sleep (KENTA)
The Fabulous Moolah Award (Best Female): Beth Phoenix
