I never accused anyone of being anti-TNA. I just stand by all of my points. If you find any wrestling show confusing, there's nothing I can do to help you. You're on your own. It's wrestling. And if you question the intelligence of the people you're trying to "help" or "enlighten" you come off as a douchebag. So let me quote Vito DeNucci, former professional wrestler and one of the co-hosts of Between the Ropes: "If your match stipulation takes longer than 10 seconds to explain, it's too confusing" So yes, Reverse Battle Royals are too confusing, I'm so sorry. Group of wrestlers fight to get in, then smaller group fight to eliminate each other, than the last two face off in a match. Time to say: 5 seconds and 880 milliseconds. and it's a sad day to be a fan when the average wrestling fan can only hold ten seconds of information in their noggin without missing anything.

Welcome ladies and gentleman to This Conversation Has Happened Nine Billion Times Before 'm your host, Crack Stuntman!
The Person Offering Criticism: TNA need to simplify their programming. They are trying to cram too much into 2 hours. They had a great chance when they went from 1 hour to 2 hours. If they would have just elongated what they were doing with 1 hour then it would have helped. Instead they tried to jam 3 times as much stuff into a show that was doubling in size. They are trying WAY too hard to be an "alternitave" and it's hurting their product. The average wrestling fan can easily be confused by the storylines. Vince Russo has stated that he feels "heels" and "faces" are passe. And with that comes the fact that we get faces that act like heels and vice versa (Just look at Joe). TNA has a great opportunity to really rise out of the ashes left by the demise of WCW. Yet they are blowing it by ignoring criticism from fans. I just wish TNA would get their act together. They could be the best promotion in the country.
TNA Fan: If you're confused by a wrestling show, then you're a retard. You've obviously got something against Vince Russo. And you hate TNA... You MUST hate TNA since you never write anything positive about TNA.
Criticism: I'm just trying to offer up some of the problems with TNA. I'm a TNA fan, I just wish they would better their product for the sake of survival.
TNA Fan: If it were up to you there would be no comedy ever, anywhere in the world. You want everything to be serious and combat oriented.
Criticism: Your mom is combat oriented
TNA Fan: No... YOUR MOM is combat oriented
Criticism: Blah Blah Blah
TNA Fan: Blah Blah Blah
Both: Blah Blah Blah Blah Blah Yadda Yadda Yadda
I'm so sick of this debate. it's all the same. It always ends in disguised personal attacks (and they're only disguised because you'll get banned for flaming 'round these parts... and sometimes they aren't even disguised). Both parties end up looking as if they're stuck in their ways. And we all look dumber for arguing the same damn thing over and over again. It's always the same damn people, and they're saying the same damn thing. It's lame.
The critics of TNA are (in MOST cases... Not al) TNA fans. They are frustrated because they know the TNA product could be HUGE and could really take off... But they're being held back by the people running the show making bad decisions.
The TNArmy are fans. They feel that people complain too much. They (in MOST cases... Not all) realize that there are some flaws with the programming... But not as many as people like to say.
Can't we just agree to disagree and wait to SEE what happens to TNA as opposed to arguing a point in which NO ONE will ever change anyone else's mind?

Can't we just agree to disagree and wait to SEE what happens to TNA as opposed to arguing a point in which NO ONE will ever change anyone else's mind? Ok, but first you have to read MY version of The Conversation Has Happened Nine Billion Times Before! Person voicing criticism: TNA is teh suck! All they feature are former WWE guys holding the titles and holding down the homegrown talent.
TNA fan: Angle and Gail Kim and Tomko were in WWE, but homegrown stars AJ Styles and Jay Lethal hold titles too it's a pretty even split. And Kaz beat Christian and Black Machismo beat Angle.
Person voicing criticism: Kurt Angle turned from face to heel fifty times last week. Why is Sting a heel?
TNA fan: Kurt Angle has been a heel since Slammivesary in June. And Sting turning heel? Why do you think he's a heel?
Person voicing criticism: He attacked Kurt, that makes him a heel.
TNA fan: Kurt attacked Sting's family!
Person voicing criticism: I didn't see that, so it seems like Sting's turned heel. All matches are twenty seconds long, feature 9000 run-ins, and 150 face/heel turns.
TNA fan: Are you sure you're not exaggerating? Is TNA the only company that has run ins?
Person voicing criticism: Aha! You're going with the old "WWE is worse!" argument to defend TNA!
TNA fan: I didn't mean just WWE, all wrestling companies, indys too have run-ins!
Person voicing criticism: Why am I wasting my time talking to you? All you ever say is "WWE is worse!"
TNA fan: I never said that! That's about right.

Listen I openly root for TNA to have success and I think Jeff Jarrett is a great guy and I wish him the best in business and life. I think some people get off on being pricks about TNA since honestly the E is not only as bad but often much worse. That being said, posting something like the above should give everybody in the world the greenlight to laugh at you.

If my perspective on the debate came second, how am I an elitist? Someone gives their view of the eternally ongoing debate, and I respond with mine, but my doing it is elitist? Ok.... And I see MY position as being the one representing common sense. I don't think that makes me better than anyone. More in tune with reality, yes, better no.

Plus, some of us don't have cash to spend on PPVs every month with other stuff. I couldn't get the last two PPVs for that same reason. TNA is like a classroom full of brilliant students with TONS of potential… who just happen to have the world's worst and most retarded teacher. They all get dragged down by the terrible curve. Not that it matters, I suppose, but you really are coming across as a bit of a snob here. Maybe something is just getting lost in the translation... As far as the debate over Alvarez's latest TNA rant is concerned, the guy's not wrong. The allegedly leaked script suggests that TNA's creative team is micro-managing the entire show when they should let the stars just do what they do best. No one told guys like Steve Austin, The Rock or Mick Foley what to say word-for-word. These heavily scripted segments make it look like their trying to produce a literal soap opera rather than a wrestling show. TNA's creative really needs to realize that a pro wrestling program is really almost like a improv show. They should trust their guys to know what they need to do out there more than they do. And the TNA/WWE comparisons are really getting old. Both programs have near-equal shares of stupidity and goodness. TNA isn't "better" than WWE. Not even close. Likewise, WWE isn't leaps and bounds ahead of TNA in quality, either. Other than that, neither company affects the other at all. In fact, if WWE sucks as bad as so many TNApologists say it does, it's further proof that TNA is having no impact (no pun intended) on the wrestling world at all. If they're product was so much better and making some real waves, WWE would probably be forced to improve.

Not that it matters, I suppose, but you really are coming across as a bit of a snob here. Maybe something is just getting lost in the translation... Well to me, it feels like others are being snobs. We had a guy come out and say exactly how the "TNA sucks/No it doesn't" debate looks to him, and I responded with how it looks to me. That's it. Someone gave their view of the typical TNA thread then I responded with mine. And I held back a lot. If I had it to type over again, I would have had the TNA basher say, "Well WWE makes money, case closed!" a few hundred times. You start out your post by saying "As far as the debate over Alvarez's latest TNA rant is concerned, the guy's not wrong." I never said he was. Mostly because I refuse to read another word the guy writes after the embarassing error laden, hate-filled rants he's wasted our time with in the past. I came in to on page five to respond to something someone else wrote.

The only thing that script did for me was to show just how much Vince Russo really is to blame for the lame segments. Granted, there are others, but his name is used as Producer more then the others.

To me, Bryan Alvarez's "TNA rants" crosses the line between "criticism" and "elitism." Lance Storm could possibly be considered elitist well, but he gets a pass in my book. Why? He can actually (gasp) back it up. Alvarez can't. That is what makes Lance Storm respectable and makes Alvarez king douche bag. I know that this is as cliche as hell, but it should be said: if putting on a good wrestling show was really that easy, then everyone who can put two sentences together or plays EWR/TEW would be doing it.
