I know this always gets thrown around, but i was talking about this with someone and some good points got brought up.
1. The Steph situation WWE gave him a good send off, did Steph come out with the information after this? if so when? Where did this get started?
2. Him wanting too much money. I always hear this talked about. I doubt thats the case, if TNA could get him i doubt WWE would have a problem.
My guess his heat with Hogan, since Hogan has made more money for the company. Only problem with this though is the fact that while WWE was on the outs with hogan Savage never came back.
I'm tired and fealt like rambling

Honestly, I'd have to say the reasons were much more pedestrian than that. At the time he left, he was doing commentary, but wanted to get back in the ring, so he jumped. My guess, Vince took that personally, and thus the bad blood.

But if you seen that "tribute" Vince gave to him on Raw after Savage left, you would think that Vince didn't have any bad blood over that.

I think it have something to do with the slim jim contract, Savage negociated under his own terms and the WWE didn't got any money from it

It could just be a simple reason of Savage maybe not wanting to come back, even after overtures. It takes 2 to tango and maybe he intentionally priced himself out of range. But once again, if the Steph situation happened, he'd be six feet under

How could he have taken it personally, when they gave him a good send off.
I think it's very similar to so many other guys that have held the world title for many years, that are not in the HOF. They have allot of ill will for the WWE or they are going through drug or other problems and would make the E look bad on a podium.

I mean guys like Bruno Sammartino, who will just rag on how awful the product is.
Honky Tonk Man, and Randy Savage I can see as two others like that.
Maybe not Tonk though he may just do anything for money.

I'm going to use the phrase "savage heat" as much as possible this summer.
"Hey man, how's it going?" "This savage heat is killing me! Dig it!!!!"

I got the impression that Vince's "nice sendoff" for Savage was mostly to discredit him before he eventually showed up in WCW. If you know you're losing one of your big names to the competition, wouldn't you pretend like you really didn't mind that he was leaving, and that he was just an older fellow who had put in his time?
Then Savage ends up being a bigger player than expected in WCW, and Vince gets nasty with the Nacho Man stuff.
