They stayed stable in the ratings for the year, which is a major plus for them. However, everything they tried to boost and keep ratings up did nothing but have them running in place. Throw in an over-emphasis and near dependance on the gimmick match, which cheapens the concept, and I can't really call this year a success. Not a total failure by any means, but no real growth or forward movement, just lots of standing still and saying "see, look where we are, we're over here". C-.

Solid D. Since October I've enjoyed a lot of what I've seen. However January-April was pretty terrible, I stopped watching for a couple of months but still followed ... and it was still sounding terrible. The past couple of months don't make up for 9+ of crap. Keep things together and it'll be much better next year.

I put it an E. Outside of the few guys I like in TNA (MCMG, Phenome-no, and Cage), the rest to me has been nothing but utter dreck. Someone, go to Nashville and Orlando and put some sense into the booking committee. Sheesh.

I'll give TNA D. One of my main gripes with TNA is that it was a solid show back in 05 and I can still watch some of their older shows and appreciate some of the wrestlers. Back then I used to think that the product would get better when they got some main-eventers, since the main-event scene was the only thing lacking, back then. I also thought that the product was too cramped for an hour show and that an extra hour would help.
Even though the shows aren't that bad, now. I don't enjoy them nearly as I did a couple of years ago. It's either a D or an E for them.

Right now, it's a C+. There have been some great moments this year (BFG being perhaps one of the best PPV's of the year) and some breakout moments, but ratings still aren't going up, and there's been a lot of silly stuff over the last few weeks that have been dragging it down, as well as a general lack of focus on pushing various wrestlers. But storylines have been tight, if not stupid at times, and I haven't been as angry at what's happened in TNA as I have with what's gone on at WWE over the last year.
Basically, I'm entertained, so they're doing their job right with me.

I voted F.
However! That's really only because I don't think they're below satisfactory (a D), and I really don't see any real "effort" other than a few desperate attempts at throwing s*** on the wall and seeing what might stick.
If there were really anything else above an F, I would've voted that.
That, and the fact that they COULD be great, but aren't, which is almost inexcusable.

D.
They were pretty bad earlier in the year, and only really managed to pick things up around Bound For Glory.

D+. They pass, but there is plenty of room for improvement.
Signs of genius are hurt by signs of ignorance.
Also, I never want to see another Blindfold-Cage match, Eletricified Cage match or Elevation X (Which I watched the next day because I refused to buy the PPV) again.

I'll give them a C+. They're watchable enough and the move to two hours drastically improved the in-ring product. Moving to different cities for the bigger PPV events is also a positive change. The Women's Division is filled with women who can actually wrestle as well as being drop-dead gorgeous (well, Kong and ODB aside).
However, there are still some things wrong. Creative is still an absolute mess and the gimmick matches that are either too complex or have no logic behind them need to be stopped. Hard Justice was also the worst PPV event of the year, even worse than WWE Unforgiven (which was easily WWE's worst event since December to Dismember).
Here's to 2008 being a better year for TNA.

What about a blindfolded scaffold match? can the scaffold be electric? Only as long as it's also first blood.

And if you want to explain why you gave the grade you did, go right ahead. Well before I had to downgrade my cable, I watched TNA sporadically. Beginning of the year was ok but it degraded into the "Kurt and Karen Show" before I cut my cable. Haven't been able to watch since and judging by spoilers, etc, I'm not missing anything.

C-, from January-May TNA was okay with alot of holes.
Everything after that has been mostly misses.
I actually think moving to two hours took the enjoyment that was left out the show for me. Two hour shows is a hassle. In today's world, a wrestling show should only be a hour. The days of two hours is too much and actually a waste of time. This coming from a guy that used to watch Nitro from 8-11 and then catch the replay afterwards. Those days are long gone. I'm not going to sit through two hours everyweek. I don't watch Raw or Smackdown because it's too long for my tastes. It take me 2-3 days to sit through an AAA show which is 3 hours long. You notice now with two hours, TNA has a lot of fillers segments aka Borash/Angle comedy skits.
The bad booking, random gimmick matches, everybody looking like mid carders because everybody is on a equal playing field. It's not even worth it.
WSX was perfect for me.

I give them a B I mean they had a lot of crap sure and too much run in's but the good have outweighed the terrible and compared to WWE which has bored me to hell this year, at least TNA has given me some enjoyment even if it was bad because it was bad in a funny way instead of boring or painful way ie-Hornswoggle doing Roadrunner-Wiley E. Coyote skits. Plus TNA has some of my favorite wrestlers from the past (Angle, Booker, Team 3D, Christian) and great wrestlers from today like AJ, Lethal, MCMG, and Joe.
So making nice strides TNA but improvement is needed of course.
