Target seems to have cleaner stores and some of the food they have is cheaper than WalMart.
However Walmart beats them as far as prices for videogames, DVDs, and a auto department.

Target's prices end in 9. Wal-Mart's priced don't.
That's about the only difference. Trust me.

This has nothing to do with prices, but Target is always, and I mean ALWAYS full of MILFs. Wal*Mart is full of rednecks and morbidly obese sloths riding shopping scooters.
I prefer Target.

If I quote the Creepy Kentuckian from the Deadpit "I love to go down to my local Wal-Mart and buy some DVDs!" That's why to me Wal-Mart beats Target.

Target drops prices quicker and clears stock faster, thus getting me great deals. I get so many games there for under 20 bucks that still sell elsewhere for 50. Other times too, their clearances are just fantastic, and their prices are pretty much the same as walmart, and the employees are marginally more intelligent(at least they don't have 75 year olds in electronics/videogames/movies/music), what the hell is wal-mart thinking?)

Living in Canada, I've never been to a Target. So Wal-Mart wins by default.

I like both places, they both have their charms with certian stuff cheaper then other. For example Target have the Family Guy dvds more cheaper then Wal-Mart, while Wal-Mart have the cheaper price on the DBZ Season boxsets then Target. So I just vote for Dusty Rhodes.

If you're shopping for basic crap that every store has (ie health and beauty, electronics, cleaning supplies, etc) then Wal-Mart is better because they have cheaper prices and a wider selection. But if you're looking for things that varies by store (ie clothing, furniture, home decor, etc) then I'd go with Target because they're just cooler. They're probably my top two retail stores I shop...personally I prefer Target because they're neater and have cool stuff, although I probably spend more at Wal-Mart because that's where I get my necessities in life
I also agree with the previous poster's assessment on Target marking stuff down...I get alot of clearance stuff for alot cheaper than I would elsewhere(just picked up Virtual Tennis for 360 and Alien Syndrome for Wii for only $12 each...not bad for next-gen gaming)

Target because they sell stickered music (seriously, how can you justify selling grandma's boy uncut but not Dethklok's Dethalbum?). Sadly, the target here in MS is all the way in Jackson (which almost a 2 hr drive from brookhaven), so most of the time im more or less forced to shop at wal-mart save for the days that i decide to venture out to jackson.

I haven't set foot in Wal-Mart in close to 10 years and I plan on keeping it that way. I'm one of those people who just doesn't care for their business ethics.
That being said-I go to Target for basic stuff like toiletries and undies. But things like clothes and the like I buy from local artisans that make this stuff or thrift stores. If it's something I absolutely cannot find around here, I have a bunch of links to sites that sell things that are made right in America, completely sweatshop free. The handmade stuff seems like it lasts longer to me and I get my money's worth. Plus, I'm supporting local folks and that's always cool.

TARGET, mainly there are 4 of them within 5.5 miles of my house. And I did work for TARGET the past two years.

I don't have the Target option here so I gotta go with Wal mart but I probably would anyways . I do get most of my clothes there because I like plain, usually one color, shirts and regular jeans. Food though, go to Aldi's.

I made a horrifying discovery on the day I went out to get the Knocked Up DVD; Wal-Mart really DOES have the lowest prices in town. In fact, about $10 lower in that case. This made me want to vomit, because I hate Wal-Mart oh so much. Every time I buy something there, I die a little inside. Then again, if you're lucky, and there's a sale in the hunting department, Wal-Mart is like one big, horrifying freak-show of rednecks and people who apparently have no idea what they actually look like. You know, gigantic women in stretch pants and thongs, guys with their shirts tucked into their blue sweatpants and also held up with a belt. You never see that in Target. I don't have the Target option here so I gotta go with Wal mart but I probably would anyways . I do get most of my clothes there because I like plain, usually one color, shirts and regular jeans. Food though, go to Aldi's. Our Aldi's is good for if your favorite food is cockroaches and, also, you would like to score a bag of meth on your way out.

Wal-Mart, but just because its the only store in the whole area. I try to stay out of there around the first of the month, welfare people are so nasty looking/smelling and are also very rude.

True, True. That's because Targets aims for that demographic. Middle class women see themselves as sophisicated, and Target is really just Wal*Mart with a different marketing plan.

Target. It is full of MILFs. It's clean. The people that work there don't look like they're out on work release or hired out of a trailer park. The prices are pretty much the same. The quality of the private label merchandise in Target is light years ahead of that in WalMart. Again, Wal Mart just has the look and feel inbred redneck trailer park mentally challenged ville.
