Lord of the Rings trilogy. bored me to sleepy sleepy tears. I give LOTR credit for two things. The cinemtography was fantastic, and it did stay mostly true to the book (save for changing the ending). However, simply changing the ending did kill pretty much all of it for me. Sorry kiddies, in the book the Shire is destroyed and everyone is pretty much dead there. No frollicking amongst the ashes.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre: disappointing under every possible aspect: not so gory, not really unsettling, not even scary... Weird, in a boring way, is all I can say about it. At least the remake was so cheesy it was funny. The original was just filled with wooden acting and sub-par camera work.
Borat : a long, boring, unfunny candid camera. A poor excuse for corny jokes and gratuituous male nakedness. Exposing American society? I'd say exposing the critics' sheepness. I "don't get it"? I'm so glad I don't!
Life is beautiful : goofiness and jokes in a nazi lager? ohh so funny! The message may be serious, but Benigni is such a pretentious clown both behind and in front of the camera it's not even funny anymore.

Napoleon Dynamite - I did not laugh once. Didn't even crack a smile. I will never understand what's funny about this movie.

Do Kevin Smith films count? Cause i've seen the majority, and hated them all.

I've thought about it over an over on account of the fact that I run in a pretty heavy fantasy geek circle, and obviously am at odds with them on this one. I know its sounds weird, but more than anything that I don't like about this movie series its the color scheme choices that lull me to sleep. The movies seem to be shot using the colors brown, green, grey, brown, grey and the occasional murky blue. There are other reasons such as pacing, a directorial choice of using excessive over dramatic acting almost exclusively, and a score that was even more unnecessarily over dramatic than the acting.

Also, I'm not sure if it counts as a cult movie, but "The Never Ending Story".

I liked Donny Darko. Didn't change my life or nothing. Drew Barrymore looked good, Patrick Swazey creeped me out.
Napolian Dynomight was the biggest pile of garbage I ever saw. It was an hour and a half of my life that was wasted that I'll never have back.

Rocky Horror Picture Show, The Boondock Saints, and Donny Darko. Boondock Saint's is an alright flick but I don't follow the worship..Darko and Rocky however are trite.

Donnie Darko, Napoleon Dynamite and a new one for the list -- Garden State. Oh man, what a pseudo-intellectual/deep piece of garbage that film was.

Agreed, RHPS is trite, but the one thing I will defend about it is, it's supposed to be. The whole reason it's a cult film is because it sucks, and people can get to gether, under the influence of many substances, act like idiots, and make fun of how bad it is. Not sure if that was the intended goal, but if so, they succeeded.

I was working as a projectionist when that piece of shit came out, which meant I HAD to watch it! (Luckily I only had to watch it once!)

Agreed, but when you do those, the cops show up and say things like "indecent exposure" and "orgies" and...oh, wait, maybe you were going somewhere else with that.
