It's funny to me because Depeche Mode doesn't like the song to much because it's to straight foward, and they like to have a little abiguity to their songs meanings. However, I think if what you're saying has a good meaning there is nothing wrong with straight fowardness. Yeah I've read that, it's a good song so I don't really see the problem.

As I watch the video, Crowded House had to be the least "80's Looking" group in this tournament. I may just be missing something, but their wardrobe or hair styles really don't look specificly 80's.
Doesn't mean anything one way or another, just an observation.

The dream IS over for Crowded House, as Depeche Mode moves on. ------------------------------------------------------------ Michael Jackson gets the unpleasentness of having to eliminate himself here. It was only a matter of time, it just happened to come sooner rather then later. Michael Jackson - Wanna Be Startin' SomethingProbably most remembered is the chanted refrain "Mama-se, mama-sa, ma-ma-koo-sa", featured prominently during the song's final bridge. With regard to this chant, writer Mark Anthony Neal says: "The lyrics (utterings really) were taken directly from the music of Cameroonian saxophonist Manu Dibango who broke into the American market in 1973 with his classic 'Soul Makossa'." At six minutes and three seconds, "Wanna Be Startin Somethin'" is also the longest song on Thriller, ushering in the album in a buoyantly accessible way, and cannily showcasing the pop and soul music sensibilities of Jackson and producer Jones. "Wanna Be Startin' Somethin'" continued the trend of hit singles for Jackson, eventually peaking at number five on the Pop and on the R&B charts, and gaining time on radio playlists across the country. The song was often not played at full length, however, due to industry format standards. The song was originally written in 1979 and intended for his Off the Wall album but was not recorded until the sessions for Thriller in 1982. Vs. Michael Jackson - The Way You Make Me FeelThe single's music video showcased Michael Jackson chasing a woman (actress Tatiana Thumbtzen) across the street. She falls for him after he woos her with his dancing. It was the pinnacle of her career. There are two versions of the video - the regular version runs for 6:43 and the full version runs for about nine minutes. On March 27, 2006 "The Way You Make Me Feel" was re-released as part of the Visionary - The Video Singles package. Jackson's sister La Toya Jackson is also featured in the video.

Yeah, Sexual Healing isn't in it. Have to chalk it up to the "Forgot about it" list, and if we ever do this again try to remember it.
Way you make me feel wins, new match on the way.

MJ wins! BAH GAWD DID ANYONE SEE THAT ONE COMING!? --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Men At Work's last song left goes up against another strong contender from Phil Collins. Phil Collins & Philip Bailey - Easy LoverPhil Collins, during a radio interview, was asked how "he discovered" Philip Bailey. Annoyed at the lack of knowledge of the interviewer he made up a story about how he had been filling his car with gas/petrol when he heard the attendant singing...and that turned out to be Philip Bailey. The interviewer believed the whole story, which was also picked up by other media outlets. Vs. Men At Work - Down Under"Down Under" is the title of a New Wave song of the reggae flavour, written by Colin Hay and Ron Strykert, recorded in 1981 by the Australian rock group Men at Work and featured on their debut album Business as Usual. This song went to #1 on Australian as well as international charts, including the UK and America. It was reissued in 1982 and is the first and only 'Men at Work' song to get to number 1 in the UK. It has become a popular and patriotic song in Australia. The lyrics are about an Australian traveller circling the globe, proud of his nationality and about his interactions with people he meets on his travels. One of the verses refers to Vegemite sandwiches, among other things, and this particular lyric has become a well-known phrase. The flute part in the song is based around the tune of Kookaburra, a well-known Australian children's rhyme. Originally, Down Under was released as the B-side to Keypunch Operator, a rare custom-pressed single by Men at Work - some of the guitar melodies from that version were further developed into flute parts on the later release. The song is a perennial favorite on Australian radio and television, and became well-known outside Australia after it was used as a theme song by the crew of Australia II in their successful bid to win the America's Cup in 1983. It wasn't the first Australian single to gain popularity in the USA, as Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport was #3 in the USA in 1963. In October 2006, Triple M had the Essential 2006 Countdown of the most popular songs of all time, voted by the listeners. Down Under was the number 3 voted/ranked song
