Due to being "Politically incorrect" or "racially insensitive" or what-have-you. What movies do you guys think there is no way would pass muster in today's overly PC climate? I'll nominate two.

Death Wish.
A white man goes on the prowl, killing everyone he can find in the slums and ghettos of the city. Black, white, Latino, it doesn't matter to Chuck Bronson.
That movie would NEVER be made today.
Hoosiers is another one. Today, it would've been swung around into a "Glory Road"-esque film, where the white guys are evil and the black people are righteous and proper.

You stole mine. Mickey Rooney's Asian character in Breakfast at Tiffany's wouldn't fly today either. None of you will top my answer....because my answer is Tod Browning's "Freaks". Ooo, good one. Wouldn't be made into a film but they'd be used in someone's political attack ad about the person's nuclear waste policies or something.

That movie would NEVER be made today. Yes it would. It was called "The Brave One." And I belive that was the major critique of the film.

Hoosiers is another one. Today, it would've been swung around into a "Glory Road"-esque film, where the white guys are evil and the black people are righteous and proper. Why not? It was a decent real life story (although they neglected to mention that the season shown in the movie happened one year after they had almost won the championship the prior year). Actually, the story of my high school when it got to the championship game would have a slightly better chance of getting made. Yes, our school was slightly bigger (almost 400 students), but unlike Milan the team did not have a single player from the team that made the finals previously (that is because that finals run happened 5 years earlier). The reason I say that my school has a better chance than Milan in getting into a movie today is this; they lost in the final game. They made a game of it, but in the end they lost. That is a little more in line with todays movies. Not only that, but the only other loss was to cross-county rivals Shoals High School. Enough death threats went around prior to the game that our superintendant elected to forfeit the game for safety rather than go for that perfect season that they could have had.

Yeah, Hoosiers can and probably would be made if it hadn't been already. I mean just look at Invincible if anyone needs proof that a sports movie about a white guy can still be made.

Agreed, by far this would never ever ever be made today. I've often said that this movie could never be made in today's day and age. Too many people are politically correct. And as has been said before, Birth of a Nation would not be made.

As a brother, I get sick of movies that portray things this way. I watched a movie called Higher Learning one time that I had to bring back to the video store right after watching it. I was so disgusted with the whole thing.
