Gah, I was hoping for a young Snake, he's got more business on a Nintendo console than any of the others, methinks. The MGS2 suit in camo looks gash.

Dark Link reminds me of Evil Ryu and Evil Ken from M.U.G.E.N.
Thankfully Dark Link won't be as freaking cheap. Hopefully.

www.smashbros.com/en_us/items/assist/assist12.htmlSaki Amamiya Saki Amamiya appears from Sin & Punishment: Successor to the Earth! This title is currently available via the Virtual Console. Saki stands on solid ground! He uses his weapon, the Cannon Sword, which combines a sword and a gun into one to slice and shoot! He cuts repeatedly without mercy! And shows off his magnificent jump! Take this!! As with the original title, he speaks in English. He rivals just about any main character. There were many requests from users for his inclusion, and he IS pretty cool, so I did what I could to include him. After all, this game does let you enjoy a dream cast of supporting characters! H-he has absolutely no problem fitting in!

I said to someone last night 'I hope they make Saki a playable character seeing as Sin and Punishment is awesome and on the VC now'
Now, he just get's added to the list of Assists that I would rather play as then someone like Dedede (along with Goroh, Gray Fox and Little Mac.)
Seriously, I'm persuming their going to make another Smash Bros sooner or later. I seriously hope a ton of Assists get pushed up to the main roster then.

Seriously, I'm persuming their going to make another Smash Bros sooner or later. I seriously hope a ton of Assists get pushed up to the main roster then. Nintendo only does one Smash game per generation. So we'll have to wait for Nintendo's NEXT system for the huge Smash. Hell, the next Smash Brothers doesn't need full fledge character Assist Trophies(like Goroh, Gray Fox, Little Mac, etc), but instead just leave the "in game enemies"(like Hammer Bros)/non-functional as a playable character(Dr. Wright, for example) as the Assists, and move the rest to the main cast. Add Mega Man, and I wouldn't need to play any other game for the rest of my life. Of course...the DS has yet to get a Smash game, and with Mario Party going to the DS, Smash is like the ONLY Nintendo series not to grace the duel screened wonder(besides Battalion Wars and F-Zero). I mean, it shouldn't be that hard to make Smash for the DS. All they need to do is make sprites like in NEW Super Mario Bros. or Sonic Rush, and make it play like Jump UltraStars/Jump SuperStars/Guilty Gear: Dust Strikers. What I mean by that is, use both screens for the playing field(like Guilty Gear), and then have it play like the Jump games.

why do I have a feeling we'll have a crapload of VERY Intresting Assist trophies and like some great to mediocher playable characters? Because having someone come in as an assist trophy is probably a lot more easier then turning them into a full fledged playable character. And funnier too. I mean, 2D Excitebike and Lakitu? Awesome.

While I realize that it's up to four players, I would totally mark out if it at least increased to 6 like when you fought the polygon teams in SSM.
Can't wait for the next bit o'news.

www.smashbros.com/en_us/characters/lucas.html#3rdLucas: Final Smash <PK Starstorm> Lucas’s Final Smash is PK Starstorm! It’s a move in which he unleashes a rapid barrage of meteorlike PSI power. After a fierce battle, he gets the Smash Ball! P...K.... STARRRRRRRRSTORRRRRRRRRM! As the star storm continues, the tension increases. They all rain down at once. Can you possibly escape it?! It may be that it’s less advantageous on larger stages and more advantageous on smaller ones. There are a variety of moves like this that have clear advantages and disadvantages depending on the terrain. www.smashbros.com/en_us/howto/basic/basic09.htmlCharged Special Moves Mastering the chargeable subset of special moves is important. Take the following moves, for example. Link’s Standard Special Move: The Hero’s Bow Pikachu’s Side Special Move: Skull Bash These moves can be charged up by holding down the special-move button, increasing both speed and power. If you press the button down firmly and then release, you’ll unleash the move at full strength! When you first try out a character you aren’t familiar with, this should be the first thing you try. But, there are also some moves that continue charging even after you release the button... Huh??? DK’s Standard Special Move: Giant Punch Samus’s Standard Special Move: Charge Shot ...among others. For these moves, when you press the special-move button again, it unleashes the move at the power level you charged it to. Also, with these moves, you can move around while charged by charging the move to the maximum limit or by pressing the shield button to cancel the charge. Look! Smoke shoots out from his head when he’s reached maximum charge! Do your best to build up the maximum charge, then unleash it at just the right moment! These are superimportant techniques for characters like DK and Samus. Don’t forget them.

Well i'm a little disappointed that Lucas final smash aint Rockin Omega, but Starstorm is pretty cool too.
This was a pretty 'meh' week of updates. To me at least.

Of course...the DS has yet to get a Smash game, and with Mario Party going to the DS, Smash is like the ONLY Nintendo series not to grace the duel screened wonder(besides Battalion Wars and F-Zero). Well, I suppose you could argue that Advance Wars is the DS Battalion Wars... And hell, I would be happy when F-Zero is announced for Wii, never mind DS. I'm still personally hoping for Viewtiful Joe to get the call-up along with Megaman and Bomberman as the other 3rd party characters. Oh, and if Pheonix Wright is not made into an assist trophy, I will go out and buy a hat and then eat it.
