What I'm amazed at Insomniac, is how matches can be "close" but still be sweeps. Like every goes "Oh man... I don't know... (Song A) I guess, but barely!". Yeah, I noticed that a lot. It's almost like in tennis: You can win a set 7-6 in a tiebreaker, but do that every set and win the match 3 sets to none. It's closer than it looks. And yes, I just compared 80s Pop music to tennis. I need to go sit down for a while.

Shed a tear for fear of Tears for Fears not moving on. ------------------------------------------------------------------- Two songs, that while good, have probably benifited from having decent at best competition so far. Huey Lewis & The News - Back In TimeVs. Kool & The Gang - Celebration"Celebration" is a song released in 1980 by Kool & the Gang from their album Celebrate!. It reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart on February 7, 1981 and held that position until February 20, 1981. The song dominated the radio for nearly the entire year, and is still heard today at weddings and parties. It is also a popular anthem for sporting events; for example, it was prominently associated with the 1982 World Series victory by the St. Louis Cardinals and is played over the PA system after Detroit Tigers and Oakland Athletics victories. The song is also notable for having played when the remaining American hostages returned home following the 1979-1981 Iran Hostage Crisis. The song has been remade by Dragon (see Dragon (band)) - a band from New Zealand and Australia fronted by brothers Todd and Marc Hunter, Kylie Minogue (see Celebration (Kylie Minogue song)), and by Jump 5 for the Kim Possible soundtrack. The song was one of the big musical numbers in the film Muppets from Space, where it was sung by Gonzo's family.

Huey wins, Huey wins! -------------------------------- New Wave Battle! *sirens blare* Gary Numan - Cars"Cars" is a 1979 song by Gary Numan, released as a single from the album The Pleasure Principle. It reached the top of the charts in several countries and today is considered a New Wave staple. In the United States, it reached #10 on the Billboard charts in 1980. However, its popularity was so enormous that it overshadowed much of the rest of Numan's career in the 1980s, causing him to be thought of in later years as a one-hit wonder in many countries. Vs. Frankie Goes to Hollywood - Relax"Relax" was initially a fairly unregarded single on the fledgling ZTT label, troubling the lower reaches of the UK Top 50 throughout the latter end of 1983. However, it crucially proved to have somewhat unique staying power, never dropping more than a couple of chart places one week before leaping forward ten places the next, making its way into the lower reaches of the Top Forty by January 1984.
