Well, they were from the nineties. I'd rather hear them than that pregnant Miley Cyrus. She is preggers, right? Or is that the wrong spoiled Disney brat? Just wait a few months, she will be That or a sex tape will leak out.

True, I'm giving them too much credit. Although they were pretty much the first major girl pop group. .... The Bangles?

Oasis are still around. They have cleaned up their act a bit. I mean with drunken behavior and fighting with each other.
Saw them just a couple of years ago and they were pretty good live.

All this talk just makes me want to play "Beyond Oasis". That game is awesome.

I would care if only they performed naked together. But then again, maybe 1 or 2 of em look good naked.....

Were they a one hit wonder? The only song I can remember is the "wanna be my lover" crap.

Were they a one hit wonder? The only song I can remember is the "wanna be my lover" crap. It' s their most popular one but I' m pretty sure they actually released a lot of songs, and at least one album (but probably more).

I remember several big singles from the Spice Girls. Say what you will, but they were very popular. No doubt about that.

There's no denying Spice Girls were insanely popular more than a decade ago... Problem is: like all those Girl/Boy Bands, their shelf time was very limited, so once the wave of popularity was gone, it was the end for them. Trying to "revive" something that had been relevant, for two years, ten years ago was a bad idea. The only Spice Girl with some sort of face value is Victoria Beckham, and that's not saying much... The fans of Spice Girls back in the day are now in their mid-to-late 20s, and I surely hope their taste in music has evolved a tiny bit. Younger people will probably have different "idols" (some random MTV pop-slut/pretty boy, or some random rapper), and Spice Girls are "oldies" already. Nostalgia with 60s/70s/80s music works because the then-fans remember them fondly [middle life crisis? ], and younger fans perceive an aura of myth about such jurassic acts. Spice Girls may try again in 10 years

Well I hate to hear this I saw them in december and had a great time and have always been a huge fan. Make no mistake about it, whether you liked them or not, they've always been successful and have a loyal fanbase

i watched that awful Spice World movie because it had Richard O'Brian from Rocky Horror in it. I saw it in the theaters on opening night in high school. It turned into a Rocky Horror type event, what with all the yelling and dancing. Bonus: It also starred Richard E. Grant, aka Withnail.
