The guy is a Comedian and Ventriuquitz...and ya i dunno how to spell but the dude plays with puppets! I would say Walter though its probably my favorite... youtube.com/watch?v=1kXOg23pGeAI KILL YOU!!!!!! youtube.com/watch?v=1uwOL4rB-gothe vast awesomeness of this guy amazes me. I've been a Dunham fan for years now. I've always loved his bits with Peanut and Jose (on a steek), but Achmed is quickly moving into one of my favorite bits ever.

He's a very talented ventriloquist...his jokewriting is kinda questionable to me. He CAN be funny, but not frequently...at least not in my eyes.
In my opinion, he's okay at best.

His act, perhaps due to the puppets, comes across as family oriented, while a lot of the stuff he does with the puppets comes across as borderline racist(the jalapeno and the pimp). I guess you can get away with it, with a puppet. My major gripe with the guy is he uses the puppets as vehicles to use REALLY cliched and tired jokes sometimes. He has his fans, and he has his moments, but he's just not my cup of tea.

I don't deny the guy's talent, because he's one of the best ventriloquists I've EVER seen...but Jesus some of his material is so trite.

His appearances on Letterman were much better, though. Still not a big fan, but those are better. I do agree with other that his throwing of his voice and lack of lip movement are phenomenal, though.

Dunham< Dane Cook... god i hate Dane Cook If you're saying you hate Dane Cook more, you did the arrow backwards. Dane Cook has a lot of energy, and can be quite funny when he's in his element. Overexposure ruined him for me for a while, though. I can enjoy him again, though. He's pretty good, though I prefer a number of people.

On the subject of Dane Cook...I'll give him credit, he DOES have a ton of energy. However, I firmly believe that he's a student of the Will Farrel school of comedy, in that "loud means it's funny".

To me, Walter is his only great character. The rest are repetetive and grow old quickly.

The only one I never really liked was the pimp, Sweet Daddy D. Well, and the redneck.
Really his first special is hard to watch at times due to those two.

I saw him live and sat in the front row. It was a first date and boy was that a mistake. He (and his puppets) tooled on us the entire time!!! But it was an absolute riot and after he shook our hands and thanked us for being such good sports. So yeah, he is awesome!

Jeff Dunham: Has his moments. Pretty funny on occasion, but then again he also has his moments where you want to smack your forehead and change the channel. His older special on Comedy Central is a lot better than his most recent special, although I've heard from people in the know that his most recent tour had some of his best work yet, and that the stuff he's doing literally has people falling out of their chairs with laughter.
Dane Cook: Five years ago, I saw why he was funny. And then something happened. I think Cook realized his own popularity, and completely sold out. I like to call Dane Cook "The Chick Flick of Comedians". As in, he tells stories about relationships which can occasionally be kind of funny, but more often than not the only people laughing at his "jokes" are teenagers and girls.*
* - Also, I've heard about fifty thousand different stories about Dane Cook being the biggest douchebag this side of Joe Rogan, and because of that I cannot fully enjoy his comedy.
