I am just curious, does post count matter to any of you? Like when you read something from a poster, do you look at their post count and whether it is high or low does that play a factor in what you think of the post?

Not other's post count, but sometimes mine.

I look at it if it's someone I don't know and their post is questionable. Just to get a feel if it's a troll or a regular poster. Thats about it.

Like Tyfo said, if the post is questionable or downright trollish, then yeah I take a peak. Usually ends up being someone new.

N00bintude Guerrera should be in the board dictionary lol.
I've never really cared about post count, its just a number after all, some have said its a sign of how little life you have.

I don't think I will ever make it to 20,000 posts. People used to care about post counts when I went through and ranked people, but that was when 10,000 posts was like the Holy Grail of post counts.

well the boards been here for three years Yeah but I have like 400 and Ive been on them for a year. we don't sleep...we stay on here posting all the time finding ways to drive the mods crazy so one day they will end up killing us all and as for the topic, my Post Count has never mattered to me, like me (and many others) said back in the days of the Chat Threads my PC is just a number, for all I care it could be taken away from me or even dropped into the negatives

It seems to me a lot of people do care about their post counts but to me they care more about their silly sigs. Who really cares about any of that? I just find it a wee bit pathetic when someone answers a question by saying "check out my sig".

mine doesn't matter really, but I keep it kind of as a reminder saying "wow. I spend too much time here". Kind of like when someone will keep a scar of a car accident, to always remind them.

All post count means is that someone hasn't yet said something dumb enough to get banned.

I don' t really care about how many posts a poster has made to judge the value of their posts. In my views, having a bigger post count doesn' t make your posts more accurate, it just shows you' re a bigger spammer than the other guys (and as you can see, I' m one big postwhore). The only times it really matters to me is when a newbie is being an ass. I' ve gotta admit I give older posters a pass more easily because I know them better and I think it can be just a mistake. But if a guy who just signed up immediately starts being an ass, I think "well, if that' s how they already are just after joining up, they' d better be banned quickly." But other than that, it really pisses me off when someone' s argument in a debate is "luk at ur postcoont ur a n00b !!1!" and it isn' t rare that I find a newbie' s post to make more sense than an oldbie' s.
