So I was watching the Transformers movie (2007) the other day, and the part where the characters are talking about the cube, saying how it's the bringer of life. Later it shows the cube bringing various things to life, and all of them are evil. So my question is, if everything the cube apparently brings to life is evil, how are the autobots are good?

If I understood things correctly, it depends on who is using it.

No idea. My thought was that when the Autobots bodies were built they were preprogrammed for good so they were good. Same with the Decepticons for evil. Not exactly that but I hope someone gets what I mean. For the Earth made robots they may have just been scared and lashed out. Thats the best I came up with anyway.

If I understood things correctly, it depends on who is using it. Sam was good and made robots that attacked people so I don't think that theory works.

I feel so geeky for knowing this:
Remember when hey said the microchip was invented after studying Megatron. Well I guess the mobile phone, the Xbox, the vending machine and the steering wheel were are all evil cause they all have a little bit of Megatron in them.

We basically made all of our technology into little mini-Megatrons.

Your first mistake was trying to apply logic to this movie. No the first mistake is watching it. For god sakes Special Effects are not ideas! I hate when people say this. No, it was not the perfect Transformers movie. It was still a fun Transformers movie. I won't feel guilty for enjoying myself watching this movie.

Was it gonna win an Oscar? Nope, but nobody was expecting it to. As a fun, summer popcorn action flick it succeeded on so many levels

THIS was the perfect Transformers movie: Hardly. Optimus Prime, Megatron, Ratchet, Ironhide, Brawn and Starscream (amongst others) all died? Lame.

I feel so geeky for knowing this: Remember when hey said the microchip was invented after studying Megatron. Well I guess the mobile phone, the Xbox, the vending machine and the steering wheel were are all evil cause they all have a little bit of Megatron in them. That's a very good explanation. I just assumed all the little robots were feral, and thus destructive, but needed to be conditioned to be good or bad.
