That's actually true. Engineer's Answer: The glass is twice as large as it needs to be. I'm a depends kind of guy though. I'm an Always kind of guy. ...Oh. Wrong topic.

Cousin Larry: "Balki, you know, I see the glass half empty, but you, you always see the glass half full. Thank you" Cousin Balki: "Couseen....I see no glass"

It depends on what it's half empty/full of. For example:
If the glass holds something you enjoy, let's say, chocolate milk, you'd say "aw, man, this glass is half-empty, I wish I had more."
If the glass holds something you don't enjoy, let's say, dog piss, you'd say "aw, man, this glass is half-full of dog piss, that's way too much, and I wish it wasn't even close to being this full."
That's honestly how I look at it.

A Democrat looks at the glass as half-full. A Republican looks at the glass and asks, "Who the hell drank half of my water?" [/Jeff Cesario]
A Bears fan looks at the glass as half-full. A White Sox fan looks at the glass as half-empty. A Cubs fan looks at the glass and says, "When's it gonna spill?"
