Alright let's get this baby rolling! We have 256 songs fighting it out to be number one! Since there are so many songs, in Round 1 we'll set the winner at first to 3 votes. If we have a lot of voters I'll change it to 4. To start off we have two bands that are both represented with numerous songs in this tourney. Def Leppard - Too Late For Love"Too Late for Love" is a 1983 single by British hard rock band Def Leppard from their multi-platinum album Pyromania. When released as a single, it reached #9 on the Mainstream Rock charts. The music video, filmed on December 1983, was taken from a Christmas music special called Supersonic. According to the text commentary in the video Historia, the performance was filmed after hanging out with Elton John and Meat Loaf over some champagne. In the video however, compared to the original song, did not include the guitar solo that comes up right after after the second chorus. Vs. Rush - Red Barchetta"Red Barchetta" is a song by the progressive rock band Rush from their album Moving Pictures. The song describes a dystopian future in which modern sports cars are prohibited by "the Motor Law." The narrator's uncle has kept one of these illicit vehicles (the red Barchetta) in pristine condition for some "fifty-odd years" and keeps it hidden on his farm. During one of his weekly drives, the narrator encounters two "alloy air cars." The Barchetta and the much larger aircars race down the road until the narrator eludes them by driving across a one-lane bridge that is too narrow for the "giants." The song ends with the narrator returning to the farm, "to dream with [his] uncle at the fireside."

Def Leppard rushes toward victory! 3-1 ---------------------------------------------- Up next we have a battle of Osbourne vs. Van Zant Ozzy Osbourne - Mr. Crowley Mr. Crowley is a 1980 heavy metal song performed by Ozzy Osbourne (with Bob Daisley contributing lyrics, and Randy Rhoads the music), released on the album Blizzard of Ozz. The song is one of Osbourne's first two singles as a solo artist following his expulsion from Black Sabbath. It reached #46 on the UK charts. The chord patterns in this song are based on the much used "Pacabel's Canon" chords. Mr. Crowley seems to cast the life of the British occultist Aleister Crowley in a critical light; Osbourne asks Crowley, "Mr. Charming, did you think you were pure?" and invites Crowley to "ride my white horse". It is commonly thought to refer to Crowley's addiction to heroin which was a prescribed medication for him. The line is open to interpretation, as Osbourne indicates in the following line, "It's symbolic, of course." Osbourne ends the song with a plea to the long-dead Crowley, "Was it polemically sent?/I wanna know what you meant", perhaps referring to Crowley's often-controversial doctrines. Osbourne also says in the reissue of Blizzard of Ozz that, in Black Sabbath, he had a roadie named Frank who'd worked with Led Zeppelin and Jimmy Page had given him a book signed "To Frank, Polemically Yours". Vs. .38 Special - Rockin' Into The Night Rockin' Into the Night is the third studio album by southern rock band .38 Special, released in 1980. With this album, .38 Special incorporates some arena rock elements into its sound.

There's NOTHING glamorous about Slade... I have nightmares of those mens faces.
Also I vote for Mr Crowley... that's a damned wicked track.
