Clearly the villains don't get as much love as the heroes.

Clearly the villains don't get as much love as the heroes. I have to disagree....sure, maybe people aren't as active in THIS thread, as they were in the Hero thread; but remember that old axiom that said a hero is only as good as his or her villain? I kinda take the heroes listed in the heroes thread to be an equal endorsement of said heroes' arch-nemesis. After all....part of what makes us love those heroes so much is seeing them whomp on thier evil nemesis.

hmm...
1. Black Adam (if we're considering him a villain today) 2. Deathstroke the Terminator 3. Ultron (especially Robo-Janet) 4. Zoom (Hunter Zolomon- a Supervillain whose a jerk just so that he can make his rival a better hero. I love it) 5. Hobgoblin (I'm one of 5 people who like him better than the Green Goblin) 6. Lex Luthor 7. Magneto (especially when he goes crazy and puts people in ovens and fails to realize how much of a hypocrite that makes him. I like insane villains better... and like hell that didn't happen, f*** you Quesada) 8. Doctor Sivana (52 made me a mark for him) 9. Superman-Prime (a Superman who really IS a dick without any sense of Irony or humour. I'm just waiting for him to drag Jimmy Olsen and Aquaman to the desert and refuse to give them water) 10. Doctor Doom (I'm a sucker for the third person speak. but I'm not familiar with recent FF stuff, please tell me he still does that)

1. Ozymandias. All you need to know: He did it fifteen minutes ago. NONE of the others on this list EVER do what Ozymandias has done. And not only that, but do it in such a brilliant, twisted way. Ozymandias is what Luthor only DREAMS of being, what the Joker is too frickin' crazy to ever be, and what Darksied's ego will not ever let him be: A complete and utter success. some spoilers for those who haven't read "Watchmen" See, I have to disagree here because, at the end of the day, Ozymandias didn't know if what he did was truly the right thing to do. When he asks Doctor Manhattan whether he did the right thing, he doesn't get the sense of reassurance that he wanted. He was convinced that uniting the world against a common threat would have changed everything, but Manhattan told him that, in a sense, it wouldn't truly matter. So, yeah he's brilliant, he successfully pulled off one of the biggest plots ever, and, indeed, he might have the moral purity necessary to withstand the consequences of his actions, but did he truly change anything? Alan Moore leaves it wonderfully open to interpretation.

9. Baron Zemo Thank God some one picked Zemo. He is ridiculously awesome. He is up there with Red Skull, actually he is better than Skull.

It's a wonderful gray area, but still....the massive loss of life and destruction he caused, in my mind, puts him right up there with the worst of the villains. Ozzy may not be as pure, Satanically EVIL as the Joker or Darkseid, but damned if he isn't the best VILLAIN I've ever seen. I mean, if HE's not the villain in WATCHMEN, then who is?

god Sinestro's original costume looks dumb. I can't believe it took them so long to realize this.
