I had this one spider that used to live behind my driver's side mirror. It had a genius set up. It would make its web going just from the left side near my car to the car itself. It would lounge out there and when I hit the road it would scamper behind the mirror for protection from the elements. Over the coarse of me driving small bugs would inevetablly get caught in its little web and it would come out and dine. At least one desendant every year would return after every winter and continue this tactic until the car died.
I loved those guys, very crafty little buggers.

You know what I like? House centipedes. They look freaky, are harmless to humans, and love to eat cockroaches and other pests. Here's some pictures: Don't kill these guys, they only want to eat your unwanted "guests." (Although, personally, I don't kill any bugs--unless there's a large number of them.) They won't eat your food or bite you (their poison is too weak). OMFG I REALLY HATE THOSE THINGS!!

They beat the crap out of and eat spiders...so they're a friend to me. Plus they're just cool lookin', and REALLY fast. When I used to volunteer at the science center here in town, my friend and I found one in the sink there and kept it as a pet for awhile, feeding it spiders. And smarties...it really liked smarties for reasons I never figured out.

I used to love them, then got bit by a Recluse in Tennessee. Now I have the legs of a sixty-year-old man.

Who was it around here that was about when we were telling scary relationship stories... Anyways, he was telling a story about his then girlfriend having a show and tell type project or something at school and how she had a jar with 5-6 black widows in it. They break up and he's cleaning under his bed a few months later to find said jar with the widows in it dead..... with the cap off.

As for spiders in general, my basement must be Atlantic Cit for these big black ones. One of my cats loves catching them. Out in my shed I saw this big mother. I sprayed it with bug spray until it got drunk enough for me to pick it up...with a fan rake, and dispose of is in the woods. This thing had teeth like my dog and held onto that rake with those teeth like a pitbull. Oh, I also get these nasty little bastards in my basement: Don't know why my basement is such a haven for these creatures and no matter what I do I cannot be rid of them.

Now, I alluded it to it, but has anyone ever eaten a spider? Because, I have.
