Think about this:
There are tons of parents out there who do this to their kids.

Yeah. Dont most dogs eat until they have no food? I mean Im sure hes not like that cause hes selfish or whatever. God damn poor thing. Stuffs gotta be miserable. Atleast a dog who barely gets fed can move around and not be at the risk of a heart attack at any second...

Tis is precicely the reason why I started feeding my dog a higher grade(5 star) dog food...well, that's not totally true. My dog is as finiky as a cat but that's another story.

I fail to see how this is animal abuse.
I mean starving a dog I can see, but an obese dog doesn't really seem that abusive.
maybe it's because I don't own a dog.

That is animal abuse. Disgusting and the dog should be taken away and treated by a rescue centre. The people should be imprisoned. Yeah. I don't know if I'd go that far, but I definitely don't think it's funny. As a lifelong dog lover, and owner of one myself, I feel bad for the poor dog, honestly.

Well, it's fair to assume that the owners aren't taking the dog to the vet at all, even for a yearly inspection. Otherwise, I don't know if a veterinarian could even legally let them keep the dog, the way they are feeding him/her. I don't want to sound like a PETA nut, but owning a pet is a big responsibility, and anyone who is not committed to taking care of it has no business owning it in the first place. Animal abuse is about as big, in terms of amount, as child abuse, plus it's much easier to get away with.

The same should apply for people as well. Let's not get into bashing overweight people and stick to animals.

I was not bashing overweight people. I was just saying that parents who overfeed their kids to the point where they are obese should have them takes away from protective services.

Aw, he's just a fat dog. It ain't funny but it's not exactly sad. He's fat for a reason. His owners are fools but a dog could have worse problems.

^ Like what? That dog's got maybe a year to live in that state at best.
People who find this funny are pretty heartless. I have never owned a dog but I still find this sad and wrong.

Thats animal abuse. The owner might think he's doing right by the dog because the dog will ALWAYS eat available food. They probably think since he's hungry he should eat.

I don't think an opinion like that can be based on a few pictures of the animal lying down. While it is highly unlikely, for all we know, the dog could live a perfectly normal life, with a few extra meals a day. If you showed me a video of it barely able to walk as it breathed so hard it sounded like it was dying or something, then yes, i would most definitely feel bad about it, but all i can say about these pics is that, appearances aren't everything.
