Mr. Australia man, I have a few questions.
How many hours a week does the average Aussie work? How many holidays and vacation days does the average Australian get a year?

Hummers are driven exclusively by douchebags. I don't know about all that. You're right, forgive me. I just checked the chart, douchebags only make up 15% of Hummer owners.

Where exactly did you go? I was in LA, San Diego, Las Vegas & Hawaii. Well there's your problem you went to parts of America that most Americans don't even consider normal. Thats like me going to Sydney opera house, and coming back and thinking I have a handle on your culture. America is a huge country, and the further you get to the outside edges the more extreme, and, or fake people get. Middle America is where its at if you really want to get a good balanced idea of the way most people in the country think and act.

I have also been to NYC, DC, Kansas, Arizona & Ohio.

Well I'm back from my trip. I had a great time. Some random thoughts about America, none are intended to offend just things I noticed. 1. Food is so cheap, especially fast food & the servings are huge. I think its part of the obesity problem. 2. You have too many TV commercials for Prescription Drugs. 3. Employers should pay workers more so that they don't rely on tips so much. 4. Why does Bill Engvall have his own sitcom? 5. You cars are huge, no wonder you are using so much oil, it must take heaps to move those things around. 6. You guys have too much water in your toilets. We have about 1/3 as much here. 7. Girls in America really do love Australian accents. 8. You really aren't paying that much for gas, we are paying about 40% more in Australia. Just some random thoughts, so what did i miss here when I was away? You are a critical SOB...

Mr. Australia man, I have a few questions. How many hours a week does the average Aussie work? How many holidays and vacation days does the average Australian get a year? We work 40 hours a week, we have about 10 public holidays a year & we get 4 weeks vacation leave a year.

Most Americans get 6 or 8 holidays and 2 or 3 weeks of vacation and work a 50-60 hour week.

If Americans were given more vacation time, more Americans would be working and our dollar would be stronger!

Well, yeah. Plus we fry things like cookies and candy and Coke. My favorites are the ones that don't even say what the drugs do. But that's exactly why tips exist. Same reason Tyler Perry does. Anybody can get one / TBS has horrible programming. Hummers are driven exclusively by douchebags. We crap more. *writes that down and drinks a Fosters* Our dollar is also worth more. I'm giving Lach the benefit of the doubt that he has done the conversion. When the Euros say their gas is $9 a gallon, they mean it's $9 a gallon. It's probably what, E3.50/liter? Or did I totally get that backwards?

I would say this is true, though I've heard San Diego is as good as it gets in our good ole USA. There are three USAs. 1) Alaska and Hawaii 2) The coasts 3)Everything in between. Many of our problems center around the fact that our media outlets (NY and LA) and our policymakers (DC) are on the coasts, and they represent nothing that occurs in that area in between. We see so much of people on entertainment and the news saying "America...." when what they really mean is "The four square blocks of this nation I cover each day..."
