You're 1-1 today. Hey Chocula, I'm watching your Ducks on TBS and they're they seem a little "FOUL"! HA!HA!HA! I've got two picks wrong so far. Sorry for my absense. I'm just now getting this. I couldn't watch the Ducks cuz I was packing. If I'm lucky I'll get to see the game next week after I move in to my new place but we'll see. We play USC next week? We are so screwed.

I disagree with your Minnesota pick. The Gophers always storm into Big Ten conference play undefeated because they play a lot of cupcakes. Purdue is a very underrated team. They're flying under the radar this year because they lost Kyle Orton. The sports pages don't mention they have almost their entire defense returning. But, consider they don't have Michigan or Ohio State this year, Purdue could very well be your Big 10 champion. But they're not good enough to make the Rose Bowl. Well I guess we'll agree to disagree. I don't think Purdue will get through their schedule without a few losses (Minnesota, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Michigan St.) I also wouldn't consider Tulsa, and Colorado St. "cupcakes" Akron, however? Cupcake written all over them! With pink icing! They didn't exactly blow Arizona away, either. Go Gophers! Yes Chocula, the test is here! 'Quake

Yes! The game will be at 4:00 on ABC! I'll have all my crap moved in with plenty of time to set up the ol' boob tube. USC is going down! (eep.) All hail the most hideous uniforms in college sports!

I watched the Purdue-Arizona game live at Arizona Stadium. Purdue got lucky. Arizona make stupid unforced mistakes whenever their in close games. I agree with quake's upset prediction against Minnesota. I was surprised with the lack of fire Purdue showed against AZ. Arizona is very much improved but that game shouldn't of been as close as it was. I have a tough time believing that Purdue team is a top 15 team.

I'll be pulling for Oregon, as well. I just don't know if they're the team that can pull it off. Everytime I think there's a chance of an upset, they kill that thought quickly. I really thought Oklahoma would beat them last year, and look how that turned out! 'Quake

Hey Sandman, now I have to keep my eye on the Minnesota/Purdue game. Hopefully I won't need Chocula to help pull my size 17 out of my mouth! 'Quake

I've been wrong before, but I'll have a hard time believing Purdue will lose to Minnesota...
"UNLESS"
Minnesota tries to air it out. Purdue's D has to stop the air raid. If they can't do that, the Gophers have a win.
Edit: This will be a good game to watch. Minnesota plays an exciting brand of football. Even I can attest to that, but then again I live in Big Ten country. The formal name of the conference is "The Big Ten (Plus Indiana)"

*Sending secret message to Minnesota coach-(Air it out!)* I'm hoping it will be televised here, but at the worst I'll be keeping an eye on it at ESPN.com. Chocula I was going to make a joke about your Cinderella sized feet, and that my 12 year old has size 10's but my wife just told me he doesn't..........................................he takes size 11! 'Quake P.S. Sandman, thanks for making a game interesting for me.

Why no love for Clemson, Quake? We should have beaten Miami this past week. Then again, when your quarterback is your leading rusher and his last name isn't Vick, you're probably in trouble.

There can be ONLY 1! Tigers that is, and that's LSU! I didn't realize as I picked that all my upsets were in the Big Ten. So here's one: Bowling Green over Boise St.! And Louisiana Monroe over Fla. Atl. Either of these games have national championship implications. Okay, maybe not.

That Bowling Green/ boise st. game is going to be a good one. Where's it at? You know, if it is at boise, that blue turf messes with minds.

The blue turf also messes with the birds in Boise. When Boise St. was still Division I-AA, my Applachian State Mountaineers played them in the playoffs (Yes, Division I-AA has a playoff system!) and the play-by-play guy for our radio network talked about how the birds think it is water and take a header into the turf. Boise St. is a bunch of bird killers!

Well dip me in chocolate and toss me to the lez-beans! I must have overlooked something...I was under the impression that Iowa State wasn't going to have a game this weekend and would be nice and fresh for the Nebraska game. OK...so Army's 0-2, having lost to Boston College and Baylor...sooooooooo unless the good lord or other theological religious being of your choosing decides to curse the 'Clones, I'd say rack up W numero 3 for the 'Clones.
Now onto the matter of the Nebraska/Iowa State game...upon review of the Cornhuskers record, it's brought to my attention that they squeaked a W past Pittsburgh this past Saturday 7-6, thus making the Huskers 3-0 at present time with no game scheduled for this weekend. So much for my theory of the Cyclones being nice and rested for their game.
Anyway, Quakemeister, I think you have mentioned that the Cyclones would be gaining a victory over the Cornhuskers. My lady friend I have previously mentioned seems to adamantly think vice versa...and predicting a 21-7 victory over the Cyclones. Now seeming to be a bastion of college football knowledge, Quake, dear man...what do you think the outcome of the game will be?

I don't give points- strictly win or lose. I still say Cyclones win. They got up for Iowa, and will rise again for Nebraska beating them. 'Quake

Quake,
I gotta ask you, what do you think's going to happen in the UT-LSU game? I'm a huge Tennessee fan, and I see that you are a Tiger fan. Do the Vols have a shot?

Whew...that was close...I caught the second half of the ISU-Army game. It was back and forth, but Iowa State skates off with victory number 3 score of 28-21.
Now this makes for an interesting game next week when Iowa State takes on the Cornhuskers. Both teams 3-0...so one team's getting ablemish...AND THERE'S STILL NO FRIGGIN' WAGER BETWEEN MY LADYFRIEND AND I!!!!!

Quake, I gotta ask you, what do you think's going to happen in the UT-LSU game? I'm a huge Tennessee fan, and I see that you are a Tiger fan. Do the Vols have a shot? Please, I'm really no college expert or anything, just a big college fan. Do the Vols have a shot? Come on,it doesn't matter who the Vols play, they're always a powerhouse team that ALWAYS has a shot. I'm hoping my Tigers aren't overrated. It's really hard to tell, but after the UT game, we'll all know the answer. Florida and Georgia scare me too. I am certain LSU is a top 20 team, and will go to a bowl again, but putting a #3 target on their backs is scary! 'Quake
