Good luck against Florida next week. I don't like the Florida teams much since everyone always drools over 'em.
As much as I hate 'em here's hoping Notre Dame takes out USC. Believe me, I don't root for Notre Dame often.

Hey Fuzzy, UTEP has national spotlight Friday night. Just realized that's wierd. Shouldn't it be Friday's night? It's too bad all the attention will be going to Tulane, though. I'm hoping UTEP can pull it off, but after their loss to Memphis, I wouldn't be surprised if they collapsed. And about the Blue Devils: I don't know why I continue to hold out hope on them. I should just stick to betting on Blue Devil basketball games. Man my bookie must really love me!

I would expect something like that from someone that puts pancakes on little bunny's heads. Come back when you have a REAL team! That stung! UAB is a REAL team, at least now they are... They've shown quite a bit of improvement in the last few years... But what can I say? I root for the 'underdogs'. ...And for your information, Mr. Tenta, those bunnies deserved it!

Wow. I cant really call an upset this week. Quake, I hope LSU kick some butt against Florida. I'm rooting for them. Cant wait for the Usc/Notre Dame game. It will be a good game but I think USC after two letdowns will come out tough. A let down for them is a 3 td win against my az. wildcats. I think anyone who saw that game knows who are best player is. Our Punter. The announcers were saying he is the best in the country. At least we have the best something as opposed to a few yrs ago, the worst coach, John Mackavic.

I'll try post my picks this week Larryland, (not that anyone missed it last week)but you may have picked my big upset-USC/N.D. I guess I still refuse to believe USC is so darn good, and that as soon as they play a "good" team they'll lose. Unfortunately they continue to tease me, letting the other team own the first half, then come back and double them in scoring. That should be a good one, as for my Tigers, I have to stick with them over the Gators, but it will be tough. Our secondary is terrible at times. 'Quake

The question is not will Miami beat Temple. The question is will Miami let Temple score? Or, it could be, will Miami hang 100 points on Temple? Or, it could be, can 11 of us go out and beat Temple?
Temple sucks.

I read in the paper this morning that USC/Notre Dame tickets are going for $2,500 a pop. That's just nuts.

Sounds about normal though. In 1995 or 96 I went with a few guys to South Bend to see the ND-Ohio State game - back when the Buckeyes had Orlando Pace and Eddie George. End zone seats were going for $1,000. (OSU was #1 and I think the Irish were in the top 5, if not #2) That's just the frickin' end zone; the best seats were going for at least $2,000...so we heard.
Well, the guy who insisted we'd get tickets couldn't find any within our price range, so we were planning on seeing the campus before going home. (Dick Vitale just came out with his book and did signings at the bookstore every home game because his daughter went there, but we missed that because we showed up too late.)
Ran into a few OSU people who couldn't get tickets but they were having a banquet in the Joyce Athletic Center (the basketball arena) for them during the game. They asked if we'd like to come along; the big screen was dropped down to watch the game. So we went there and watched the game with a bunch of Ohio State alumni for free. The bleachers were pretty full, plus the OSU alumni had a banquet going on the floor. The guys who invited us said if we needed anything like a pop or hot dogs, just let them know and they'd hook us up.
Oh yeah, OSU kicked their ass. But a few people walking out of the stadium gave up ticket stubs so we can at least prove we were there. Only money we spent was on the toll road, like $7.50 round trip. (We only live an hour away, but take into account the time change getting into SB.)
Fun experience.

A guy in my office is going to the ND/USC game and he paid $1,400 for his tickets. Must be nice.

With prices like that you know where I'LL be- in my lazyboy watching it for free! Cutok, Alabama is a VERY good team, but I have to keep supporting my Tigers. We have Florida, Auburn, and Alabama we have to get by, plus the SEC Championship game to be champions. Pretty tough to do, but Ilove SEC ball!I am a 'Bama fan, though. For some reason when I see my son playing (offensive tackle) I picture him playing for the Tide, I don't know why. His stance just looks like no nonsense football from the "Bear Days". 'Quake

penn state loses in the last second of the game..... Just as I jumped on the bandwagon! LSU won. Notre Dame got ripped off. Anyone see the end? Coach Carrol signaled to ground the ball, I felt a setup to run it in. Notre Dame wasn't ready, and Leinart ran it in! AHHHHH!!! 'Quake

all penn state neede to do was not allow a td with one second left and they couldnt do it. that was horrible. I was pretty bummed when Notre Dame lost too. I really thought they had it.

I gonna go out on the hugest of limbs and say that the Arizona Wildcats WILL DEFEAT the Oregon Ducks. I know what your saying, How can a team who lost to a team at home that lost to a Division 2 school beat the mighty ducks. We always come alive round the start of basketball season.
