Jack Korpela would be worse from the one episode of Bottom Line or whatever it was I saw him present. Cole isn't that bad, neither's Coach, but together doen't sound right either.

What, are they still pissed off at Josh Matthews? Well, that'd be two play-by-play guys...

Yeah I think that Coach and Cole will be decent, not great. Just enough to push the guys wrestling, not enough to be considered awesome

DAMN!
Seriously, why didn't Vince pick Michael 'P.S.' Hayes? If he had picked him, I'd make it a point to watch Smackdown again!
Coach has held way too many positions in the company and I'm not impressed with any of his work. He's becoming the new version of Patterson/Brisco I think.

Shoulda been Michael Hayes. About Michael Hayes, while I doubt he would relish not only writing the shows but also doing the colour for them, how much stress would you be in the ring or on the mic doing an interview knowing that the booker was sitting 10 feet away? No thanks, if I'm a worker.

Shoulda been Michael Hayes. Now why would they want to take a guy who was TERRIFIC on the mic and who has vast knowlage of the business as a commentator???

I think they should have brought in Al Snow. He's a good color guy and can be used in roles that involve a wrestler antagionizing a commentator -- he can get good pops with Head as well.

I respectfully disagree about Hayes, but I DO agree about Snow Head is one of those things that will be universially over anywhere, anytime. It's a fun thing to chant, has a sexual overtone, and is marketable. Have him sit Head at ringside with him like Lawler does his crown. Not saying that he needs to "talk" to Head like he used to -- he can be a straight man color commentator, but the Head is marketable and plays well into wrestler vs commentator interactions. Heel #1 attacks Cole which prompts a Snow vs Heel match where Snow wins with the assistance of Head. Easily marketable, and markable. It'd work. I enjoyed Snow's tenure as RAW color commentator when he and Coach took over the broadcast team.

I doubt Snow has the time to travel to the SD/ECW tapings every week with all his responsibilities in OVW.

Didn't see this posted, but according to PWInsider, the new announce duo on SD is Micheal Cole and Coach, so...yeah, this should be all kinds of suck. Sigh....... I hope Coach tries to be a heel at least. But is there some sort of unwritten law in WWE that having a good heel announcer is forbidden? Even JBL was only a semi-heel. Maybe it's just me, but one of the reasons wrestling was great as a kid is because Ventura and Heenan were true heel announcers.

No thanks, if I'm a worker. So what. They can deal with that. Hell, in the 80's wrestlers had to deal with the f***ing owner 10 feet away calling the match.
