qUICK Question. Am I the Only one who cried when this happened? I remember me and my bro standing up and joining in the HOGAN chants. Damn I was so Sad i couldn't even look at pictures of Hogan. I had to take down all my posters and put away all my toys. I thought he was really hurt, and the Tugboat interview just made it more realistic to me. Damn you Quake you got me. And I hated you so much for it.

That brings back some great memories of WWF of the mid/late 1980s. Two things, however, make this video great, in my book:
1) The blonde lady up in the audience. The camera catches her at about 15 seconds after Earthquake nails Hogan with the chair, and her reaction to what she's seeing is PRICELESS!
2) Jimmy Hart. Listening to him continually egg 'Quake on to keep jumping on Hogan's chest really makes the moment seem that much more evil, to me. He does a great job in that bit.

Quake was a monster heel at that time, and when he did that, I admit I cried. I remember they did a slow-mo version symphony of Real American while they showed the footage of Quake squashing Hulk, which made it seem like Hogan was done for, a great feud indeed.

That was great, I also loved the Tugboat appeal! How many of you sent cards? lol When was the feud between Hulk & Earthquake? I think it was before WWE was broadcast over in the UK and if it was before the Gulf War I am guessing 1990/91?

It was 1990 not too long after Wrestlemania VI I think, with their big match happening at Summerslam '90.And I was watching WWF on cable in the UK from 1986,so it was available long before then.

Yeah the feud began shortly after WM6 when Quake challenged Hulk to be on the Brother Love show and the rest was history.
Also, R.T Reynolds would that happen to be none other than Corporal Kirchner? I think I saw him as a jobber in early 1985 before getting that gimmick.

Man, I sure miss the good old days. God bless Quake and the Hulkster. Wrestling was awesome back then.
