Cena. No doubt about it.
That was a huge reaction.
Then a few boos as they relived the WM match between Trips/Cena.
Then a big pop when Cena won.
Crowd seemed flat for other matches thought. A quiet sounding Y2J chant during JBL's hanging was the best reaction that match got.
MVP/Flair just go woooos and one MVP Sucks chant.
Let's go Edge/Let's go Rey
Har-dy Har-dy Har-dy. That match probably had the best reaction of singles matches.
EDIT: Don't forget the couple that didn't kiss on KISS CAM. They got one of the biggest boos of the night. Hilarious.

As I said in another thread, loved it when Khali got the massive "You can't wrestle!" chant I loved that. About smurfing time someone chanted it at Khali. I totally agree. I was hoping that Hornswoggle would get boo'ed as well, but that didn't happen. I loved the heat that Santino got during his promo and also during his brief Rumble appearance.

All right, here is the lowdown:
Biggest Pops (and there was many) - HBK and Undertaker as the first two in the Rumble - Triple H -Batista - Jeff Hardy
Booiest Boos (and there were some) - MVP - Randy Orton -Rey Mysterio - JOHN F'ING CENA
And guys, everyone booed Cena at the arena. I don't know if WWE piped in cheers, but I only heard like five or six kids cheering. The rest of us thought that was total bulls**t and booed til we lost our voices. Damn did the ending suck. To an otherwise awesome PPV.

1# Cena; it was more because of suprise though cause they crapped on him a moment later.
2# Mick Foley & Tommy Dreamer; hometown love big time with chants for both.
3# Snuka; I think people in the ring were cheering for the old cocaine smoking wife beating superfly.

Cena got a huge pop when he came out. There is no denying it.

Edge was getting big time face reactions against Rey. I don't think it was so much anti-Rey as it was pro-Edge. Either that or people still remember his god awful title reign.
Cena got the mammoth pop, then it was back to "Oh god...he's going to win ... BOOO! BOOO!"
....until he won, then it was all cheers again.

We treated Edge like a conquering king.

I think the cheers for Cena were indeed "surprise" cheers rather than "we're happy you came back so soon" cheers... Otherwise I can't understand how the fans who loved him so much were booing like crazy 2 minutes into the final showdown.
The crowd was shocked but probably didn't expect (want?) Cena to win.

Fixed for unconvicted truthiness.

Otherwise I can't understand how the fans who loved him so much were booing like crazy 2 minutes into the final showdown. Because NYC LOVES to keep old chants/heat going on certain wrestlers, even if they are completely different now. It's the same reason Tommy Dreamer still gets monster pops. Tommy Dreamer sucks now, but he'll still get the hometown reaction. It's the same reason other cities still chant "What?", despite the fact that Stone Cold is nowhere to be found. People like nostalgia and things that are familiar. In NYC's case, it's the smarky, "John Cena used to really suck so we're still gonna boo him no matter what" pop.
