Rumble was brilliant. One of the best of all time for the sheer booking of it even if you don't like the people it was booked around The riot has quieted Don't get me wrong, I disagree with certain people having certain spots on the roster but what the hell can you do? This is what it must have been like for people who hated Hogan in the WWF days. To me, Cena winning was basically the equivalent to Hogan's infamous WM 9 "win"

I think by the sheer shock and convincing myself this was Big Show's return, caused me to mark like crazy...
i don't know how I feel right now about Cena cause i don't want to see Jeff Hardy suddenly forgotten about...but damn it that knocked me on my hind quarters.

Enjoyed the Rumble, nice to see Cena back so quickly after such a nasty injury. Can't believe people are getting to het up about his return, really.

Oh come on! I'm not crazy about Cena but that was such a great suprise given the fact that he was supposedly out until at least May this year that it made me mark out. And let's face it, it was that or:
A) Triple PREDICTABLY wins. Does his lame posedown and and we get HHH/Orton at WM24 when HHH isn't even on the same kind of momentum (not to mention fan support, arguably) as Jeff Hardy or indeed, John Cena.
or
B) Hornswoggle wins. Omg midget ROFLCAKES luck of the Irish!1
The right thing happened, and now we have Cena/Orton at WM24 which, like it or not, is a big one given the history of these two.

The WWE just gave you one of the most memorable wrestling moments in a long time and it's a shame you guys aren't able to enjoy it. Memorable would've been giving the win to a guy that was unexpected other than an already established guy starting something fresh. I'm not saying give it to Santino, but there are plenty of guys that could use the rub. The MOMENT Cena came out there was no question of the outcome, of not only the Rumble, but of Wrestlemania. I don't find it memorable when it's going back to the same old, same old. I have no problem with Cena's work, he's making the best of his spot and he's good at it, but its just going to go back to 06-07 style pre-injury title picture booking. Then stop watching. No, It wasn't memerable to you, it was just memerable to the masses. The common fans, what the "smart marks" in the arena would call the "typical" women and children (as if they're better). The thing is, is that the adult male detractors of Cena that have been watching wrestling for 10 years aren't going to like today's storylines, because they aren't cattered to them. See, you don't want to know what's going to happen, you want to be shocked. I'm sure you wouldn't be shocked at the outcome of the 10'th installment of "Rocky". But here's the thing, It's not about being surprized, because if it was, If WWE said "let surprize the fans" then they'd basically would be saying that all their fans are longtime fans, which isn't true. The WWE is not, in any way, trying to entertain you anymore. You're just watching anyway because you just so happen to get entertained by a few aspects of it. See, the young kid, he isn't surprized either. He's not going to be surprized If Cena wins at Wrestlemania. But the difference is that he dosen't want to be surprised. He wants to see cena do the same old thing again and again, because that means he's winning. That means he's not slowing down. When Hogan, back in my day, would pop up out of a in and start to shake, I would be happy, because that meant he was going to point the finger and do the boot and leg drop, and win. That's what I wanted. If Someone knocked Hogan down for surprize in the midde of the hulk-up, I would have been dissapointed, becaue that meant that "it wasn't working". See, "marks" don't want to see a "good match", they want to see their guy kick the ass of the other guy. If the same old rutine kicked the ass of the other guy, then that means they're REALLY kicking the ass of the other guy and making him look mediocre, which is even better. Do you see what it's like to be a "mark"? Half the fans that are physically in the arena are the real, common fans, and the other half, are the jaded, dissapointed fans that have seen the stuff that works for far too long and want to see the different things (that won't work), because it entertains them more. They will not see these things very often, and so, will mostly be dissapointed. Now here's the thing that REALLY urks me: You have a sold out arena full of fans. Half of them are younger fans that enjoy the product, the other half are older fans that will complain. Meanwhile, there is/are some kid sitting at home who couldn't go to the show because it was sold out, and his spot is being taken buy some guy who would rather analyze the show/ not enjoy it/complain and not enjoy the show as much as the kid would have. The best thing he could possibly do is leave, but he won't. I see this type of thing everywhere. Shows, meeting wrestlers in person on their own time, autograph signings ect.... You typically have a small crowd pf people pushing by to get a pic with the wrestler, and the small kid is left behind because an older "smark" wants to say that he met a wrestler, who he will complain about the next day. The Cena haters will take up half the space in the line of a Cena autograph session, making the parents of some kid not want to bring him because the line is too large. Say what you will, but the point is this: If you're dissapointed in the product, stop watching. If there's something that you will roll your eyes at by the end of the show, then it's not worth you going or watching in more ways than one.
