I can't believe it! He's gone! I'm a 28 year old male in Toronto that followed Earthquake in his stint in WWE. Of course i was much younger back then but I always looked up to him. He was the most entertaining wrestler at the time. At least in my eyes!! I remember sending in a letter when i was younger asking Quake why he didn't squash that little runt and turn into a good guy!!! I always wanted that! I wanted Quake to be a good guy!!!! I'll never forget the time that he teamed with Typhoon. Brilliant, but still he wasn't a good guy!!!! Then it happened, BABYFACE!!!! And then the Tag Team titles!!!!! OMG, I couldn't believe it. I read it in a newspaper that i got faithfully every Thursday. And the caption read "Natural Disaster topple Money INC for the titles" I still have it, I think.
I wanted to see the match so bad but all we got was a silly little report. But i knew deep down inside I'd see it, at some point. And sure enough I did. It was won of the greatest moments. To see the man that i loved to watch get the gold....My God it was great.
I'd love to see it again if anyone knows a video that i can purchase or something.
In closing, I've written a poem that I'd like to share with each and everyone of you.
Quake, thank you for entertaining me for many many years.
Your death was a shock that brought me straight down to tears
You wrestled your last match and You fought as long as you could
In the end your still a winner I always knew that you would
Your pain is gone and your free from your fight
God has asked you to come join him along with the rest of the light
Quake take care, you're better then all the rest
Take care quake, and god bless!!!!!
